-
fleeing
into the horizon
the forest floor is pushing
all its thorns into my feet
to slow my pace
glancing
across entire lifetimes
i wonder how this could have happened
but at the same time i feel
bad for it
the sun is
golden
freedom shining
in the distance
but i still hear you behind me
and the dagger
that you have for me
is there, it's
glinting
this isn't what i was
prepared for...
here, now
at the edge
the jagged tree-line
the drop off goes straight down for miles
you're catching up
as i am walking
closer
and turning
to see your face before i
jump
fall
and fly.
