I keep telling myself that it’s not to late
But I’m pretty sure that it its
Watching you is heart breaking
The loss of independence leaves you wondering for hours
Everyone around is shocked that it came so quickly
We all wait; wait for the right time to say “I love you”
It’s not as easy as some say it is
Eating away at everyone is the word “when”
We’ll never know when and that’s the part that scares us the most
Will you remember me next time? Or will I already be forgotten?

- I really like this poem, very sweet, and I can picture and see what you're saying about how painful it is to have a loved one who is suffering.
