• Another lonely night with no one to count on but myself; sure I’ll have the company of my customers, but only for an hour or two. It’s not the greatest lifestyle but, hey, you gotta do what you can to survive. My customers know me as Cherie. My real name? Patricia (Trish) Parker. But that doesn’t really matter, at least not to anyone I know. With all the stress I’ve experienced, I’m glad to say that it hasn’t aged me much and that’s good in my line of work. I still look like a twenty-two year old and even younger on a good night.
The only other person in my life is my best friend, Katrina. She had the heart to take me in after the terrible ordeal with my parents. After dropping out of high school, she took me into her home. I don’t stay there as often as I should, but I always try and pay her back anyway I can. She’s the only one who’s never judged me about anything. Not even my work, though it is obvious that it bothers her. It’s obvious she’s the only one I can trust, God knows I’d never trust a man. All they know how to do is hurt. You try and you give and all they leave you with is pain in your heart. Well I stopped trying a long time ago…
