• "Charlie, you remember when you were an itty bitty thing and you always thought there was a monster under your bed, and your dad was always too drunk to check?" Lyxander asked, pulling her closer and closer.
"How could I not. I still have the scar from when he got so pissed from me asking him to, he smashed the the bottle and one of the shards stuck me in the leg...you cleaned it up."
"And remember what I did to him?" Lyxander asked.
"You walked into his room and handed him the shard. You looked really scary ad angry from what I remember."
    "I was really angry."
She was now in Lyxander's arms.
    "Why though?"
"Because he hurt you, a little girl, with no way to defend herself."
"You sent him to an insane asylum and me to a foster home."
"At least you were away from him."
    Charlie snuggled into Lyxander's chest.
"Yeah, but I was away from you too. You left me, my only friend. I was completely alone."
    "You made new friends."
"What kind of friends, steal your things or spread your secrets. What kind of friends tell you what a low-life you are and that you're lucky to have so-and-so as a friend? What kind of friend leaves you completely alone and expects you to make a whole set o new friends without even a goodbye, huh?"
    Charlies' eyes stung with tears.
    "Charlie, please don't cry. I'm here now, aren't I?"
"But where were you for that past 11 years of my life?"
"I was going through hell, waiting to break out of this statue, so I could come find you again. You don't realize how badly off I am without you either. I need you Charlie."
Charlie brushed the medium length curly platinum hair out of his eyes, just to find that he no longer had eyes.
    "Ly-Lyxander! What happened?"
"I don't know, Charlie. I can sense you, but nothing else. Please, will you be my eyes?"
Charlie slid her hands onto her long-missing friends cheeks.
    "Of course."
"Are you still my friend, Charlie?"
    "Of course."
    "Do you love me, Charlie?"
Charlie was silent for a moment. The only sound she heard was her heartbeat. She pulled his face down, hesitated, and kissed his lips.
