• Princess Xandra laid, sleeping soundly in her warm overly plushed bed. She had fallen asleep to the sounds of the night from the huge garden outside her bedroom window. She liked to imagine that she could hear the voices of the plant and animals outside singing to her. Like a choir of heavenly beings.
It always started with the soft, yet high voices of the stargazers. the about four counts later, they were often joined by the louder deeper voices of the suntrumpets. Soon, slowly and oh so gently would the multi toned voices of the moonroses join in. The darker blooms with their lower darker voices and then the lighter blooms with their mellower, saprano style ones. this often completed the choir. Every so often a flutejay would join in with his beautiful wind pipes or the call of the rubyrune would join in. She would lay in her bed imagining our the lyrics to the ballads and lullabies until sleep would eventually claim her.
Often she dreamed of the gentle breeze blowing through the meadows and fields of dream-glories all silvery and violet glowing from their pollen in the star's light. She would dance gracefully in the grass barefoot, and could often swear it felt just like when she was awake. Her hair would flow freely in the wind and she would raise her arms out and let the breeze pick her up and take her into the great blue sky to fly amongst the fluffy clouds hidden in the darkness of the night. She always flew towards the rising sun line, in order to greet the new day.
