    Such a dazzling shape,
    Its mysterious eyes aglow in the moonlight,
    The darkness sweeping upon it like a cape,

    The shadow so bold,
    Can no longer stand it,
    So fast it shoots out into the cold,
    It's hunger a flit,

    Shadow shadow in flight,
    Watching its prey,
    What hunger such a height,
    Following in fey,

    Oh Shadow, it lounges prepared to smite ,
    The prey unknowing its fate,
    Impossible to flee or fight,
    The shadow hunger it will sate
