    I jumped off my bed and scrambled over to Kep’s room.
    “KEP!” I scream.
    “Ahhhh!” he replies jumping out of his bed and on to the floor. “Owwww,” he murmurs.
    Nassie and Knight stumble into the room.
    “What was that for,” Kep argues.
    “Maxi,” Nassie groans. I cradle her in my arms like a little baby and tell her to try to calm down.
    Breezy and Columbus walk into the room as if they are half asleep.
    “I heard screaming is everyone okay. Maxi was that you? You always do that to Kep and you know why? It’s because you love him!” Breezy teased.
    I give her a nasty face and pretend to slit my throat. She smile and goes on.
    “Guess what, I come a sneak in here and hear Kep talk in his sleep. Guess what I hear? Maxi’s name all the time and he goes on how he loves her so, so much!”
    Kep goes red and hides in his covers groaning and mumbled something I couldn’t hear. I slapped her over the head and give her another nasty face. She just smirks and walks away.
    Just because she “accidentally” snuck in my room and saw my and Kep kiss. Big deal it was over and done with and also that was the week I broke my leg and everyone wanted to make sure I was okay. I do like Kep but just as a friend, okay a lot but all we are is friends and I can live with that. After she saw that she wouldn’t let us live it down. All she does now is talk about me and Kep and how we love each other.
    She is a pain in the butt, I tell you.
    “Now it’s nice out let’s go outside to play,” Nassie remarked.
    “Nass, we know it is nice and we will go out side but it is Saturday and I need to sleep more,” Kep said.
    I bent over a slap him a good one and he jumped.
    “What the,” Kep signs rubbing his head.
    “It’s perfectly fine if we go out to play, now shut it and get up,” I said while pushing him onto the floor.
    I search the room and find Columbus sleeping on the couch.

    I shake Columbus until he falls off the couch and groans.
    “Okay, I saw you do that to Kep you need to stop that,” Columbus managed to say.
    He always sounds so serious and I hate it. I’m the leader and he’s not jeez.
    Knight woke up because of the thump from Columbus’s not so little fall.
    “What was that,” he murmured.
    “It was Columbus,” I confessed. Columbus gave me a nasty look but I ignored him.
    “Columbus keep your fat butt off the floor,” he teased.
    “You shut it and you keep your fat mouth shut before I shut it for you,” Columbus shouted back.
    Knight was always like that, he and Columbus always have fights, some even get physical and I have to stop it. I think it is because the one time when Columbus was playing around he went over and kissed Nassie on the cheek and Knight never let that live down. Nassie is Knight’s little sister and he is, like her guardian.
    Nassie is the sweetest little girl in the whole wide world, I love her so much. I even consider her my child.
    By the way, my name is Maxi. Actually it is Maximillanna. My last name is Vampier. I live with Kep (Kepner), Nassie, Knight, Breezy, and Columbus. We live with our, seem to be, foster dad, Samuel Bay.
    I’m what you call a freak, but I call it specially gifted. I’m what you call an ice angel. I fight for the good. Everyone I live with, except Sam, is an ice angel.
    Our enemies are the dark vampires, what we call gunman, and science freaks.
    The science freaks are what created us. Sam was a guard for the lab and thought we looked miserable. One night he came in before closing time and unlocked our cages. We escaped and we lived with him ever since.
    He is like a father to me after all I have been though, what we have been though. We are, what the science freaks call us, experiments gone wrong. But we call ourselves experiments gone right.
    We couldn’t be happier with what we have and where we are. We will get now with our story now.
