We never did anything wrong. No-one was ever hurt and yet the humans still hunted us, destroyed us. Now our bloodline has thinned so much that I do not even know if any of my relatives are left....This is my story. A story of hurt, trust, betrayal and learning to trust again.
We weren't a rich family and yet we were happy. We got by. Living in our cabin in the forest, our forest. We were a family from the strongest, and most feared, of the bloodline clans. You see we had the spirit of the wolf running through our veins. Even if we were in our human skin some characteristics show through, some more prominent than others, it could be whisker marks, or slightly large canines, or sharp nails, or if it's really strong, a tail. For my family they thought I was a blessing, a good omen, because I had a tail. Our bloodline could morph into either a near-human (extra hair, long nails etc), part-wolf (wolf head, ears, tail----unless you're like me----etc), wolf, near-wolf (a larger, stronger, faster wolf) and the war form, gauru (a 9ft wolf/human hybrid which, once you enter the form, has the ability to ignore grievious wounds and also carries the threat of the death-rage, a state where you cannot distiquish friend from foe and will destroy everything unless put in a state of unconsiousness or dies). My family were good to me and let me wander and explore the forest in which my home was situated, I couldn't have asked for more, it was the day that I didn't go out into the forest, the day I decided to stay at home, then they came....
