And it is right to be bump, for bump is when you're knocking something upwards. Pushing would mean you are moving something in a forward or backwards motion, not up and down. I can analyze too. >_>

If you're pushing it up a hill, it stays on your current level, cause you have to move with it. If you bump something up, it goes above your current level to a higher level, so it's bump, not push.
Yes, but when you bump something at your current levee, say a desk, then it wont move upward or much at all. When you push, your forcing it more.
Depends on what you bump it with. Lets say I bumped it with a cannon, then hell yeah it's going to move to a higher level.
But it woudl still only go on the same level as you are. Not up.
So if you fired a desk from a cannon, it is not going to move up? I am pretty sure it's going to go flying.

So you're saying because of the weight of the desk makes it so it can not be bumped, but then couldn't you use the example of you trying to push say a...building?
Well, if we get Godzilla, KIng Kong, and Might Joe Young, I think we'll be able to push a building. Unless it's a small building, then all we need is one of them. mrgreen

Okay, what I am meaning by "bump" is one of them up under it and knocking it upward, there for "bumping" it.
But that would be, as you put it, knocking it upward.
That is what it means when you bump something up, it would be the definition. Yours could be described as "shoving it forward" rather than pushing.
So, pushing it upward would be the same as, knocking it upward, which is bumping. No?
No, to push something your hands have to stay on it. To bump it, you only have to touch it for the initial bump.
But pushing is more force, so it'll go farther.
So this is not about the action, but the distance it covers from it?
I guess so. Cuz if I were running a shop, I'd rather have my shop pushed all the way up, than bumped a little.
It depends on who is pushing and/or bumping. If I have Godzirra bumping and you only have Aquaman pushing, my bump will be more than your push.
Eh, but I think pushing is more fun. Cuz a bump is like, eh. Then when you push something, you're like "wee"!
