-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Remember (The 9/11 Poem)
Sunny September, The 11th day. All going their normal way.
People about Car horns blowing Keyboards clicking Life…going
As life goes on, A shadow passes by. The flames erupt As we say “goodbye”.
Tears are falling Cries are heard As the dust covers the last of the herd.
The Towers are gone The rubble in its place. The light smeared out As hope seems to fade. Sirens and shouts day by day.
Tears are shed For those who are lost. Remember the Towers that stood overhead.
(In memory of September 11, 2001. Inspired by UFCA’s 2006-2007 Advanced Drama team’s short reenactment.) [Written on September 6, 2006] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~In remembrance of the September 11 tragedy in 2001. In loving memory of those who died and who gave their lives trying to save others.
Also dedicated to the friends and family of those who died.~ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Remember (The 9/11 Song)
Sunny September, The 11th day. All going their normal way.
People about Car horns blowing Keyboards clicking Life going
As life continues, A shadow passes by. The flames erupt On the southward sky As we all say “goodbye”.
People jumping Tears are falling. Cries are heard As dust covers.
Now we all look Where the Towers once stood. The ruble is all that’s left.
The light smeared out As hope seems to fade. Sirens and shouts day by day.
Tears are shed For those who are lost. The flag is raised and waving As we remember the Towers that stood over head.
Remember the heroes… That tried their best.
