I'm not sure...how to do this, but I want to do it either way. It's a character help for those who want to make sure their Original Characters for their original stories aren't too perfect, to where people can't relate to them. I know I try to search around for ways to watch that with my many characters so I'd like to help!!!! heart
Let's start from the beginning with perfect girls:
1) Perfect looks/features: I don't mean just blonde hair blue eyed, and tan skinned, but I mean some points about them are even the perfect battle scars. Something about their features has to match their personality, and the bad part of their personality. Silky hair, and perfectly soft skin...doesn't help...and if they're based off of you somewhat, make it more relatable to you in som way.
2) Pasts: Okay now this gets me, I have imprvised so much just to make sure my characters aren't like this...it's called having the perfect bad past...where your characters past is soo dark and soo life changing that it's the perfect bad past, and yet, the character never lets people forget it. I have been improvising my characters pasts, to make it more...of a reason why and what makes it so bad...
3)Personality: Now this is one thing that gets me, if you're character has a horrible personality at times, but people apparently still find it adorable, or find them sweet or nice. My character Cale
CL:Yeah what Punk?
Anyways...my character Cale, a guy, is whiny as hell, and I'm not asking for it to be adorable, only sometimes, but other times he's just being a spoiled, needy brat, but that's all linked to his past and I won't get into details about that

Anyways...yeah now onto the last one
4)Powers:Okay...now damsel in distress okay, if the character is weak, but if the character is only weak when kidnapped and is going to be saved, but is strong and control their powers out of battle, you have a problem with making characters with powers. Mimi, is Queen of Dragons, she doens't need saving and barely gets captured, but she can lose it is possible. Cale is weak because his powers are controlled by something with it's own mind, an evil mind.
