Prince
Prince was quite an ordinary little child. He was found abandoned as a child, and was adopted into a royal family. Why you must ask? Well, the queen wanted another child, and yet she could not bear another. She only had one son, who was the heir to the throne. Of course she would of preferred a girl, yet when she saw this little child with wolf ears, black feathered wings, and a wolf tail she thought that the child was the cutest little demon in the world so she adopted him. All together, Princes mother, father, brother, and himself lived a nice life. Prince grew older and learned more, his brother, named Xavin, was very kind to him. His brother played games with him, and sometimes bought him ice cream as a treat. Little Prince loved his brother, and when he was scared, he would sneak into his room and sleep in his brother's bed. Prince was a normal kid, he went to school, and played with other kids. He had one particular friend named Elenta. She had orange hair that was beginning to curl, and freckles that were forming. Prince would play with her all the time, and she did not mind one bit that he was not human like her. School was fun, but the bullies were mean. They would pick on Prince sometimes, yet Prince's kind brother would always step in and stop the fight. After school, Prince would go home and most of the time play with his brother. Yet, slowly, this began to change. Prince's brother was many years older than him, nearly eight years older. Prince knew that Xavin struggled with all the pressure of being the new king, for the king now was getting quite old. Yet, because of Xavin's appreance, people thought he would not be a good king. Although Xavin was extremely smart, he lacked muscle and fighting skills. Some people said that Prince would be the better king, who was quite smart and also had supernatural powers. This happened when Prince turned eleven, and Prince, didn't really mind people saying that because he knew that he would never be elected to be King. After these rumors spread, Xavin paid less and less attention to Prince. Sometimes Xavin would snap at him, or push him away. "Leave me alone!" He would say. "I don't want to see your montrous face demon."
Prince's parents explained that this was all a part of the stress Xavin was going through, Xavin was just taking some of his anger out on Prince. Prince didn't mind, he knew Xavin was going through a hard time and that this would end, but alas, it got worse instead. Xavin himself, although the rumors said he couldn't fight at all, he could. It was just that no one knew of believed it. Xavin hid a sword underneath some loose floorboards, along with a knife and black clothes that would keep him hidden in the night. Xavin would dissapear at night sometimes, and Prince was the only one who know. Yet, Prince being a good brother kept this a secret. Finally, one day, at night, Xavin allowed Prince to come into his room. Prince was glad to be with his brother again, but it was not the same as the times they shared when he was little. Instead Xavin beat him, and told him that if he screamed, Xavin would cut his throat with his knife. Prince beared the pain, and did not scream. After all, Xavin was just stressed and needed somewhere to place his anger. Whenever Prince's parents asked what happened to Prince, Prince would lie and say that he fell down. His parents believed this, and afterwards, the beatings happened quite often. Yet Prince was a sly wolf and would always come up with a good excuse.
This went on until, one day, Prince opened his mouth and rebelled. "Why are you doing this to me brother. Please, tell me what happened. I can help you!" Xavin, about to punch the little wolf, laughed in amusement. "No no..." Xavin answered. "I need no help now. You see, mother and father say that I am stressed and laying some of my anger upon you, yet that is not true. I despise you brother. Despise you oh so much I love to see you tormented like this. It is so beautiful to see blood on that frail body of yours." Xavin placed a hand on Prince's cheek. Prince shuddered. "But why..." Prince whispered. "I didn't do anything wrong..." Prince could hardly talk, his body shook. He was so afraid, that he could wet his pants at any moment. The dagger Xavin held in his hand scared him more than anything else. Xavin smiled coldly. "You did not do anything wrong brother. It is just that everyone thinks that you are better fit on the throne than I. Do you not think that is absurd brother, after all I am the older one." Prince nodded. "You are the older one. The people were just joking." "Joking?" Xavin scoffed. "They were not, even father talked to me about it. Every person in this village thinks I am weak and pittle. Well I am not, I learned how to fight brother, from the most feared and poweful gang on this planet." Prince's eyes widened. His red eye and his greenish gold one both glimmered with tears from the pain. "You didn't....not the Yarin's!" He exclaimed. Xavin leaned in and whispered into Prince's ear the answer. "Yes, the Yarins. And now they are coming here to kill this whole entire village. If I can not become King, no one shall." A small giggle escaped from Xavin's lips, sending shivers down Prince's spine. "Brother.....Brother your insane! Mother! Father! You told the Yarin's where our village is! They'll destroy the village! Our millitary is no match for them! This whole village will be destroyed." Xavin laughed. "Exactly." He said suppressing another twisted giggle. "You are insane! I won't let you kill mother and father!" Prince struggled to get out of Xavin's grasp. Xavin tightened his grasp on Prince, digging his long sharp nails into Prince's shoulder. "Don't go anywhere, I still have plans for you. I'll make sure you die a slow agonizing death, of pain." Xavin raised his dagger and brought it down. Prince raised his arms protectively, thinking that this was it, he was going to die. Yet it was not, for Xavin had only cut through his cotton shirt. "I envy your skin." Xavin said tenderly. "It is smooth and so white." Xavin then took hold of Prince's arms with one hand and pinned them down to the ground. He kissed Princes stomach. "Yes so soft, like a childs." Prince started to cry, not knowing what was going on. He couldn't say anything, water streamed out of his eyes at a rapid rate, and their was a huge lump in his throat. Xavin sighed. "Don't cry you little baby." Xavin rolled Prince onto his back, cutting the shirt away, yet this time as he cut the shirt away, he slashed at Princes skin too. Blood shone on the blade, and Prince closed his eyes trying to ignore the pain. His salty tears made a puddle on the floor mixing with his blood.
"This is what you'll get for being in this family demon. You are a monster, and will always be a monster. These scars will form, and no one, will ever love you. Repeat what I say." Xavin yelled, as he cut a deeper gash into Prince's already pale skin. Prince winced and repeated exactly what he said. "I am a monster, and will always be a monster. These scars will form and no one will ever love me..." Prince wondered when the slashes would stop, when he would die. Maybe, he was good enough that he would die and go someplace nice. Like a field filled with roses.... Xavin stopped, and laughed. A hideous shrieking laugh that echoed off the walls. "BROTHER BROTHER! YOU HIDEOUS MONSTER BROTHER!!!" He went into a fury, he wanted more blood to be spilled, and spied the two black perfect angel wings. Feathered and soft, beautiful to glance at. Xavin laughed again. This was too perfect, with no more wings Prince would be nothing but a kid with ugly furry ears and a tail with bleeding holes on his back. Xavin thought in his head, and, his vision blurred, he began pulling clumps of feathers off the right wing. Prince yelped, this pain was nothing compared to the knife. He struggled, and knew that if his brother acctually pulled one of his wings off, a part of him would be gone. Not only on his body, but his heart and soul.
"Brother!" He screamed, tears streaming down his face as he struggled to whack his brother and kick him as hard as he could. "STOP STOP!!" But, his brother didn't stop, and Prince was too weak to stop him. Beautiful black feathers mingled with blood and salty tears littered the floor. Prince cried and cried, begged and struggled, yet the pain never stopped. It never stopped until his wing was bare of all feathers, yet it didn't end there. Xavin, insane in his own pleasure of ruining his own brother reached down and tugged as hard as he could on the wing. It was a success. The wing cracked in many places, so loud that is was heard over Xavin's laughter and Prince's sobbing. Then, the wing gave, and was ripped out of Prince's back. Blood spurted out of the huge wound. Prince screamed endlessly in agony, which was mixed with harsh sobs. Footsteps were heard and the door opened. Xavin's father and mother stepped in. The father stared in shock, a sword in his hand. The mother, weaponless, paled and stumbled a few steps backwards. They did not recover fast enough from the shock, and Xavin threw his dagger at his father's head, which landed on it's target with a sickening thud. Xavin snatched the sword from his now dead's father's limp hands, and cut the mother in half. It was done. His parents were dead. Xavin grinned widely, his grin spreading from one ear to the other. His clothes were soaked with dark red blood. Outside the smell of burning houses and bodies mixed together in a disgusting odor. Screams and bloodcurling cries were heard. Outside one tasted ash and nothing else. The Yarin were here, and everyone would be dead and gone. Now, Xavin only had Prince to kill. He turned around and strode over to the body lying in a pool of blood and blackened feathers. He lifted up the body, and walked outside, giving the little demon view of the death and destruction. Prince's eyes widened, he couldn't cry no more. He was numbed of pain, the view of death was too powerful, yet he couldn't tear his eyes from it. Soon almost everything was charred, black, and dead. The Yaris's Prince, Xavin, and a little girl was alive. Xavin set Prince down in the middle of the road, and brought the girl foward. The girl was Elenta. Elenta held her head high, and did not cry one bit. She glanced at Prince with hurt eyes when she saw his battered and bloodied form. Prince, from the loss of blood, could barely stand. Xavin smiled wickedly. "I know this girl means quite a lot to you Prince, dear brother." He said coldly, as he drew a dagger from a Yaris man's belt behind him. He pressed the cold metal against the girl's neck. "Prince you could of saved this girl. If only you did not love her, then she wouldn't have to die." Prince struggled to stand. "Don't hurt her....please..." He begged. The wolf demon managed to stand, and stumbled slowly towards Elenta. "Please....please...I'll do anything..just don't kill her." Xavin sighed. "Alas, it is too late. You love her, so now I much kill her." "Prince!" Elenta called out. "It's alright Prince! I'm not afraid! Do not worry if I die! I'll always be with you, watching over you. Just promise me you'll live, even if I die, I want you to live on. I want you to grow to an adult. Don't die on me until you are old alright?" Elenta forced a calm collected smile at Prince. It was the last smile Elenta gave, because after that smile her blood was spilling all over the parched ground. Her throat slit, Xavin let her body fall to the ground. "Men...it's over, let's go." Xavin signaled to the men to get out of the village. One of the men asked about what they were to do with Prince. "Leave him be, he is going to die anyhow." And with that word, The Yaris Gang and Xavin left, never looking back at his brother once. Prince screamed in agony, the pain was back, his family dead. Even the girl he liked was dead. Everything was gone, he had nothing. He swore that he would get his brother...someday...just someday, before his death. And after that swear, he fell to the ground next to Elenta. He placed a hand on her head, using his last strength to run it through her bloodstained hair. "I'm....sorry..." He whispered, and then his world spun around and turned pitch black.
