The dark-haired elf stopped his glide and scanned the area. He felt a shadowy aura near, lurking in the trees. His body shivered with the anger he felt. The trees swayed with the wind and grass. Feeling as if the spirits themselves were screaming in hate. The lake was clam below the wind. He could see through the glassy surface of the shallow lake. Water dragons had stopped moving to watch the surface world that they rarely visit. Before long, the wind ended its howling to let the silence of the forest crash down on the ears of the young elf.
Panic and hate began to boil it's way through his toned body. Fighting could be heard in the background along with the beating of dragon wings. The elf paid no heed to the noise, only the eerie calm and silence that attacked him in everydirection. He had no weapon but his father's sharp dagger that was give to him. The stillness continued for an unknown amount of time to the angered elf.
A rusling in the trees over took Van's attention. In a flash of movement, the slender elf slide out the dagger to face what was in the trees. For a slit second, though it was enternity, a figure in a pitch black robe showed it self. The same one in his vision. In it's crocked hand, Van could the most precious item to the land. In that second, Van could see the twisted happiness in its grey eyes. The hatred and pain that fought his body to excape, successed.
Van moved like a flash of lightening. His left leg glowed with a bright orange mixed with red. It consumed his body in its firey glow. Spreding itself through his body till nothing was not in the fire. The elf's feet moved on their own will. The glow moved to Van's left hand, draining the fire from his body. His hand made conact with the demon's arm. A flash of dark light showed only to be overpowered by the fire. In seconds it moved through the trees like water. In the same amount of time that it came, the fire left. Leaving nothing but level ground as if there was nothing ever there.
The demon was gone, but Van knew he was not dead. The elf fell to his hands and knees with exhaustion taking over his body. "What the hell was that?" Was all the elf could say in the mist of it all.
