Colors. Beautiful, aren't they? Bright, pastel, neutral, all come in different hues. I've always been fond of them; learned their proper names. You see, we see colors with our eyes. And I saw that colors are much like people. We, too, all come in varying shades. Some are even in gradient that they're all mixed up and hard to see. I guess that's why there are songs about showing your true colors written. People revealing their rainbows and black and whites to one another. But no. I don't want you colorful. I don't want to see you red with anger. I don't want you feeling blue. I don't want you green with sickness. I don't want you becoming yellow. And I don't want your white lies. No, I don't want you colorful. I don't need your varying hues. Above all else, I covet your clear mind. I crave your raw, unblemished, emotions. Your pure, untainted truths. I want to see you as you as you are and not painted upon. Set aside your pigments and give me transparency.
