Oh, I'll tell you what's been up. On Monday March 19th I got on a plane and flew from LAX to PVU. Honestly, I didn't know who was picking me up or where I was going to stay that night, but that didn't stop me from getting on that plane. It took a minute but things worked out, a nice boy from BYU picked me up, bought me lunch (I LOVE Zaxbys Chicken!), and drove me to this gals house whom my mom arranged for me to sleep at. Her family is so sweet and they gave me the basement, which they were previously renting out, all to myself. That bed is honestly the most comfortable bed I'd ever slept in! I spent Tuesday and Wednesday in West Jordan, UT with a friend. We went temple hopping, to a temple open house, hiking, played in a bounce house park, played piano and guitars at Guitar Center, volunteered at a food bank, ate dinner with his family, and explored downtown Salt Lake City. Thursday, he spent the night in the basement I was staying at and on Friday morning my friend took me to my oral surgery appointment. - He is a trooper and a true friend for dealing with me pre and post surgery- Post-surgery Friday morning, I was high. Like, really really high. They put me to sleep for the surgery and coming out I wasn't quite me. And my face was really swollen. I don't remember anything of what I said or did BUT I did manage to post on snapchat and send pictures/video to my boyfriend while under that influence. My friend took me back to the place we were staying and then went out to get me a frosty from Wendys. - My boyfriend is also a trooper for dealing with me while under the influence of anesthesia and narcotics - Fridays are the set day where my boy and I videochat since we have a great distance between us. I wasn't going to let a surgery stop me from talking to him. He is great, dealing with me and talking to me right after surgery for 2 hours, tho I was under the influence, swollen, non-coherent, and just not me. He's the best, just letting me talk garbled nonsense and watching me poke my face cause it was numb and cry over not knowing how to use a spoon and was fine with my awkward bloody drool coming out of my mouth and spilling a frosty down my face. He is seriously the best. Like, oh my goodness I am blessed to have him in my life. ANYWAYS After talking to him, my friend and I ran around Provo trying to get my pain medications and other prescriptions. we managed to get 2/3 of them. A different friend hit me up and wanted to hang out. Post oral surgery it sounded like a GREAT idea! We stayed out till 12:30 in the morning. It was great haha. He's been my best friend since middle school, moved 2xs, reconnected 2xs (now 3xs) and it was just so great getting to hang out with him. On Saturday my surgeon sent me flowers!!!!!!! He is the sweetest!!!!!!!!!! I was also in pain on Saturday because I didn't get any pain meds in my system until noon, but that's okay. I had rotating ice packs to keep the swelling down and face numb. I only had like 6 hours of sleep that night as well. People are supposed to REST after surgery. Don't do what I didn and go out post surgery and not sleep much. Not a good idea. By Saturday evening, I had 4 different meds in my system. I watched a movie with the fam and went down to the basement to sleep after the movie. My body had a shut down, it was really scary. Lack of sleep mixed in with a cocktail of heavy medications and no solid food plus on rag = full body shakes, full body cold and clammy, white as a sheet, cheeks flushed and fever, having to lean on a counter to stand, vision going in and out. I honestly thought I was going to die so I called my friend who studies med. He was good help, calming me down, assessing the situation, asking questions about the meds and everything in my system. I just needed to sleep and relax pretty much because I'm hard on my body and wasn't allowing it to rest. Fair enough. I prayed that night before I went to bed. Sunday. I woke up a grand total of 3 times to pee, drink water, take my amoxicillin and hydrocodone, and change the ice on my face. I successfully slept through the entire Sunday. It was amazing. And when I woke up around 9pm and went upstairs to see the family, the kids were eating snow! I was really high and drugged up still so I ran outside, barefoot, in my pajamas and made snow angels on the front lawn. I'm from San Diego, we don't get snow. and it had snowed while I was asleep!! The girls came out and we made a snow man! I was so excited that I facetimed my bf while rolling the base of the snowman. (Again, he's a trooper for sticking through my craziness and drug-induced state while I text/call him). The snowman ended up being a bit taller than 6 ft. It was dope! I went right back to bed after making the snowman.
