Mystery Party
Yoh, a slacker, a rock star wannabee, and a detective hero.
Minerals Beach - Sunny Beach
Yoh had been called to investigate a case he got from the town's shipper, Bear Carson.
Yoh walked up to him. His headphones turned off but remained on his head.
Yoh: Hello, sir. What seems to be the problem? Bear: Hey; you must be Yoh! Yoh: Yep. Bear: No offence, but do you have any degree in dective skills? Yoh: Uhhh...nope! sweatdrop Bear: Well, Alex said good thing about you; and I trust my son.
Alex, Yoh, and many others left to the refurbished ship 'Atlantis' to help out. It was not a ship anymore because for some reason, it was designated as a country. (weird.)
Bear: Well, detective, I recently bought a Brass-bot. I have a limited income and these are old models nobody likes as much as the new ones. Yoh: Ah, Minami-bots; based on the beautiful Minamiko.
Bear pointed to the Brass-bot on the sand.
Bear: You see, Brass was helping me with my shippments. I went inside my shack.
He pinted to his shack a few feet away on the beach.
Bear: I went inside to get some documents. It was only five minutes when I heard a scream from Brass and a splash. Yoh: And then? Bear: I heard running as I came. The person who did this ran. I hav'nt moved Brass because I thought you would dust for prints like SCI. Yoh: Good show! I saw this one, where this guy died and before he did, he was with this girl doin' it on a rolercoaster! Bear: I saw this one, wher the girl on the team, turns out her father-wait. The Mystery.
Yoh: Oh yeah!
Yoh put on rubber gloves (On his hands (duh!)) and walked to the robot.
He looked around until he pointed to a faded dline in the sand. The line streched from the Brass-bot to the dock, and patches of sand leading to the ocean
Yoh: It lookes like your Brass-bot was dragged to the ocean. Unlike Minamibots, Brass-bots are not water-proof, someone drowned her until her circuts fried, then dragged her here.
Bear: How could someone just over-power the Brass-bot? She comes with a great weopon system.
Yoh pointed to gashes onthe robot's back are. Yoh: Someone got her from behind with something strong. Can you pass me the 'Meda-Mega Robots Control Watch' (MMRCW) you have? You get one with each purchase of these robots.
Bear: Okay.
Bear handed him the MMRCW.
Yoh pressed a button and door at the back of the Brass-bot's head opened.
Yoh: The brain. All of theMM robots have one wich can be accesed in case of an emergeny. I learned this from my friend, Izzy. On the ship, we have a Minamibot. I'll just check he memory.
He felt around the inside. A few moments later, he pulled out a piece of metal.
Yoh looked at it curiosly. Yoh: It seems the murderer knew of the memory and got rid of it...brutaly. I'll send this to the mystery Party Lab on Atlantis. Bear: Lab? Yoh: By 'lab,' I mean 'Izzy researching this.'
Yoh dusted for finger prints and found nothing.
Bear had shipped it on a boat to Atlantis.
Two days later, Gotz the woodcutter had come to see if Bear was okay. He brought his ax to see if he would need help. Gotz's ax was old and had pieces missing due to it's weakness and age.
Gotz: I'm sorry about what happened, Bear. Maybe Norm can give you money? Bear: Nah, I'm okay.
Yoh listened to the conversation from the washroom, his door slightly opened to see what was happening; and he was having stomach problems. He opened a window to let the smell out.
Gotz: ...Are you sure you don't need help? Bear: That's okay, Gotz, but thanks for asking.
Yoh let one go that smelled but wafted out the window.
Three days after the evidence was shipped, the package came back with the diagnosis.
Yoh read the diagnosis with Bear.
Yoh: It seems to have some wood splinters on it. It sais it must have broke when it damaged the memory. Bear: This is getting deep.
Suddenly, Chaud barged in.
Bear: Chaud! How's my nephew? Chaud: I'm fine, Uncle Bear! But I'm here from the Officials to investigate this case. Bear: What? Chaud: I heard Yoh Asakura has been helping you. He can't help you forever; he has to help his family.
Yoh had three brothers, -his two older brothers, Kai and Ray, and the youngest, Kenny- and his cousin- Kyron- for a family since his parents died.
Bear: I'm aware of that. Yoh: I wanted to help; and this is my case!! Chaud: Well, Yoh your needed in Atlantis. If not for you, but your family.
The last part stung Yoh deeply. He loved solving mysteries, and he helped alot of people. But he could'nt just leave his family waiting for him and knowing that sometime, on a case, he would never return and hurt his loved ones.
Chaud: And Bear, this case is endangering the productivity of the inports and exports. The exports help the starving people far away. And the money is needed so Sunny Beach can survive. We need money here and we can't live in poverty and live on the scraps we have.
There was a long silence. Finnaly, Yoh stood up and broke it.
Yoh: Give me ta few days to solve this case. Please? Preety Please? Pretty Please with-
Chaud grunted in annoyence so Yoh would stop. Chaud considered it. Chaud: Hmm...Yoh, I trust you, so I will give you two days.
Yoh and Bear smiled.
Chaud noticed splinters of wood on the floor. Chaud: Hmm...the splinters seem to have gotten everywher in Sunny Beach. The trees are growing alot and the wood busines-
Chaud's cell phone rang.
Chaud: I have to go now. Bye. And by the way, yesterday, I think there was a gas leak from your washroom. It stunk up the beach.
Yoh blushed in total embarassment.
Chaud left quickly.
Bear's Shipper Shack - 7:00Pm ....tommorow's the deadline... Yoh relayed the clues : the main clue, a piece of metal, some splinters, and the dents on Brass-bot.
He put his headphones over his ears and listened to music. them music helped him think.
Anyone in town could be a suspect. Chaud said the splinters were all over town.
Yoh drank some of his Coka-cola.
As Yoh looked over the diagnosis, he found a message taped at back.
He genly ripped the tape off and read what was inside:
Dear Yoh,
It's obvious who did this. ..................................................
Yoh: Anna. Anna was Yoh's fiancee. Sure they were both thirteen, but years ago, Pan saved Yoh from a truck heading his way. Yoh was playing in the streets and wanted to see it upclose. Yoh: If you know who it is, help me then! .............................................................
Think about it: a piece of metal, splinters, gashes.
..................................................
Yoh: scream The what the hell is it then!
Yoh then realized he was screaming at a letter.
.................................................................
Don't you dare scream at me!
...................................................
You: *gulp* Anna really know me! Who is it?
........................................................
You idiot.
Its.......
before he could read who it was, he accidently knocked his coke on the letter, smearing everything.
Yoh: Awww, man! Wait - the last part looked as if someone else wrote it. Maybe someone snuck it on to help me without Anna knowing!
Yoh relayed the clues again until he fell asleep.
Thursday, 9:32am ...Deadline Day...
Yoh woke up. Bear came into the shack and smiled. Bear: Good morning, sleepy-head! You must have spent almost all night figuring it out. Yoh: Yeah, I-
Yoh remembered something.
Bear: Yoh? Yoh: How iwas the lumber business doing on the day Brass was attacked? Bear: Well, bad. Gotz said Brass was accidently dropping some of the wood. There was no proof, though. Yoh: I think I solved the case! follow me!
Sunny Woods
they ran up to Gotz's cabin in the woods.
They knocked on Gotz's door. Gotz swung open the door.
Gotz: Yes, kid? Hello, Bear. Yoh: Detective hero Yoh Askakura. May I see your ax? Gotz: But your just a puny kid; with headphones, and a button-shirt flapping open! Bear: Gotz.
Gotz knew this was serious. The waited a moment until Gotz came out with his ax.
Yoh: I noticed there was a piece missing a few days ago.
Yoh pulled out the piece of metal and put it in a hole missing in the front of the ax.
Yoh: A match! Bear, Gotz was the one who sabotaged Brass!
Dun dun dun!
Yoh: He he, dramatic music.
Gotz: You can't prove anything with a simple coincidence like the fitting thing! Bear: He's right.
Yoh: Yep. But you see, the gashes were like cuts. If another tool besides an ax was used, let's say a hammer, the gashes would be different, like a crater. Gotz is strong enough to lift alot of lumber, and Brass! He was strong enough to run fast. He used the ax to damage her memory, but a piece of the ax broke off.
Bear: I see that part working.
Yoh: It get's better - or worse, however you see it. What he didn't count on was Brass coming back and making it to land. He wore gloves to hide fingerprints. Gotz later found out from gossip that a clue was splinters that must have been on his gloves! So, occasionlay, he spread plinters secretly.
Gotz: It's all true. The reason why was because Brass was destroying my hard work and putting Sunny Beach's tree supply at risk. I went to far and....
Gotz's eyes glowed red.
Yoh pulled out a sword from hi side.
Yoh: Stand back.
Bear stood back and watched in confusion
He though this was totaly weird, but something inside him told him to but out of this.
Gotz's arm grew giant and wooden. Then the rest of him grew giant and wooden. (Fine, laugh about it) His head became shapped like a box.
His fists rushed down at Yoh.
Yoh: Entei Hold! Baby Eyes, Power Sword.
Suddenly, a circle with metal pertruding at the sides appeared and a blue-eyed, white baby dragon popped out.
The circle disappeared and the blue-eyed baby dragon entered the sword. The swor grew giant.
Yoh blocked the fist with the sword. A blue aura surrounded the sword like fire.
Yoh jumped up high with ease and struck Gotz on the chest.
Gotz's eyes shot red lasers at Yoh. Yoh dodged it, but started to fall from his high place and down to the floor below.
Yoh stabbed the sword into the right leg. The sword dug into the leg, and was sliding down it to the ground.
Yoh grunted and managed to put his feet on the leg.
Gotz swung his leg wildley, almost shaking Yoh off.
Yoh quickly pulled hi sword out and jumped up.
He swung his sword ito Gotz's box-head, slicing a mark through furiously.
Gotz wailed as Yoh Dug the sword down and slid off. The pain of the gash on his head burned.
Yoh got off just in time to see a blue fire spread throughout Gotz.
A swirl of blue flames blocked any view of Gotz.
Bear found it strange that there was no smoke coming from the flames.
The flames rushed down and disappeared, leaving in it's wake, Gotz, back to normal.
A shadow wailed around him before it vanished.
Bear rushed over. Bear: What just happened?! Yoh: I thought he was overreacting to the lumber, but it turns out a Shadow possesed him. He'll be fine.
Bear: Shadow? Why did this happen?
Yoh's sword shrank and the dragon popped out and disappeared as Yoh sheathed the sword.
Yoh: Some people have been trying to destroy the world or something. I killed a Shadow, which is a creature they use to posses people and use the to carry out their evil deads. I don'y know why they picked him and did this.
Gotz grunted.
Later that afternoon - afternoon
Dr. Birch, the town scientist, managed to fix Brass and make her a little water-proof.
Yoh jumped on a boat he was going to use to get back to Atlantis.
Yoh: Bye, Bear, Gotz, Chaud, Brass. Bear: Bye, Yoh! Chaud: Good job, Yoh. Brass: Thank you for helping me! Yoh: You're welcome! Gotz: Thank you for saning me from the shadows! Bye!
Yoh waved as the boat engine started up, Yoh smiled as he drove away.
