So where I live, there is this benefit for the American Cancer Society. You raise money to go towards cancer research, and you basically camp out all night and walk around the high school track field. Pretty much it's a lot like a carnival. Well, this year, this benefit rose over $100,000. That's insane. I'm so glad that people are taking an interest.
To go with that point, there is a drug that is in its final stages of development that has the potential to cure cancer. Can you believe that?!? Of course, there are a lot of different cancers, so it's not a widespread pill, but it is definitely a start. It is used for cervical cancer, maybe? I know it's a "woman only" cancer, so that makes the most sense.
Anyways, to the less serious side of me, I'm trudging along on the quest. I don't know why, but this one isn't seeming to go as fast as the Nitemare Scarf quest. Which kinda scares me, but eh...I'll live. I think that it seems slower is because I'm not scouring the Charity/Quests thread looking for donations. I feel independant mrgreen
Also, I'm still testing out whether I like the donation items coming out on the 15th...because the Angelbow was a hot topic, and I'm sure that it already would be worth tons, but since there was so much time, everyone who wanted one donated and got one, and everyone who didn't want on donated to get two, and is now planning on selling them. I don't know...a little odd, but such is life.
