"Another day of higher knowledge has been enforced into my intellect," exclaimed Dream Sketch, bursting through the front door of her and Sweet Chimes' humble abode, cheerfully trotting over to their kitchen.
"College doesn't seem that fun, Dream- it's school! Why would you like more school after you're done with it? Isn't the point of graduating high school not to have to go to more school?"
Sweet Chimes casually plopped her saddlebag on the ground next to the plush sofa she herself plopped on to.
"Ha ha, well if I want to be a professional artist then I should have a back-up plan if things don't play out so well for me, Chimes."
Dream Sketch levitates a mug of hot chocolate over to Sweet Chimes and prepares a snack for the both of them.
"If you graduate from college does that not mean you're gonna get an artist job right away?"
Dream Sketch looked over to Sweet Chimes with a coy yet tender smile.
"No. The thing is, Chimes, is that in any artistic career, pure talent and creativity are the necessities in landing a job. If I have a paper saying that I have gone through a higher level of education just to prove that I have "what it takes" to be a fun and creative artist then it says nothing. Only my art and skills can show what I have to offer, not x plus y raised to the power of zero."
Dream Sketch joined Sweet Chimes on the sofa.
"Wait- so you can add letters?!"
Dream Sketch looked at Sweet Chimes and burst into a short fit of laughter.
"Yes but that is for when your education reaches a higher level than it is now- so don't worry about it."
