Grey was the colour of the sky.
Grey was his car driving away.
Grey was the sadness I felt when he left.
Grey was what made me happy again.
It amazes me that I still remember the words of this poem considering I wrote it in year 6. But I do, which probably has something to do with the subject.
The sky was grey the day my father walked out without a word. It was cold and overcast, the sky covered in grey clouds. I didn't see his car going but it was a grey car... I cried but not for long maybe less than a minute. our dog, out little Toby. Already starting to go a little grey and with his natural grey fur made me happy by just being Toby. I gave him a pat and hugged him and that was it.
