In light of the Easter Holiday, I want to post my favorite Hymn, before i get to the dullness of life. ^^ heart I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter. ^^ heart
He Is Risen
"He is Risen! He is Risen! Tell it out with joyful voice. He has burst his three day prison; Let the whole world now rejoice! Death is conquered, man is free. Christ has won the victory.
"Come with high and holy hymning; Chant our Lord's triumphant lay. Not one darksome cloud is dimming Yonder glorious morning ray, Breaking o'er the purple east, symbol of our Easter feast.
"He is Risen! He is Risen! He hath opened Heaven's gate. We are free from sin's dark prison, Risen to a holier state. And a brighter Easter beam On our longing eyes shall stream. "
I read this the other day when I was really really really down: "It's difficult to be happy when things are not going right, nut not impossible"
Wow. These last few days have been.... interesting... to say the least. Some of it good, some of it bad, but still. I feel they are worthwhile enough to place here with some other things I have learned.
As some of you know, I've been working for quite awhile for my father, as one of the assitant managers at the store. Well. This last weekend was my weekend to work. So, Starting last wednesday, I was working everyday. I was supposed to have Tuesday off. And thats where the fun begins.
Tuesday, the Relief Society from my church was coming over to learn to bake cinnoman rolls, an activity that I was very much looking forward to. 9:30 rolls around, and we get a call from the store. Its Dad wondering if I could come in to work for Sara, who, apparently, came in and told Christina, the manager, that she was going to quit at the end of her shift. She was moping around, not doing anything raelly, thus why he called me... I came in on the grounds that I could leave in time to get my younger brothers from school and get to Tae Kwon Doe still. I had to leave by 2:45pm latest to do it. Dad leaves the store for a bit, leaving me, Christina, and Ana. Christina's in the back working on things, and Ana doesnt have a register, so when 2:30 rolls around, I start cleaning up my space etcetc to get out of there as fast as I can. The girl who was supposed to show up early to cover the extra half hour never showed. 3 o'clock comes. Here comes the night shift people, so I'm thinking okay, I can get out of here in 10. I call my mom, asking her to just have jack ride the bus home and I'll get him at his stop. 3:15 comes, and no one has come up to relieve me of my post. Finally, the night manager does, and I get my til and get to count down, but by then its too late. There is absolutely no way that I would have been able to get Ben and Jack and get back to Tae Kwon Doe in 45 minutes, considering that home is half hour, and Tae Kwon Doe is in the middle someplace. So, my entire day shot to hell, cause of someone who just didnt care enough about her job.
Wednesday was good. Mum and I went and got our haircut, and then went shopping! ^^ I got to buy a bunch of new clothes and some jewelry for school ^^ And I think its all seky. XD I felt horrible spending their money though... and still do... ^^; The only thing bad was I tried to register and it wouldnt let me... I checked restrictions... everything I could think of, and all of it said I was clear to go. After about an hour on the phone, i learned that they didnt recieve the medical deferment that I had sent in, and that I could not register til they had those.... so.... Run run run and get all the papers in... ^^ I'm okay now.
Thursday passed without much happening. Just slept in til 2pm (I desperately needed it... ) went to work half an hour later. lol.
Friday we got up and ran for groceries after spending half an hour trying to find Jack's friends house... and then played a game with ben for a little while before headed to work again. ^^ Cheryl was manager that night, so I was just a cashier, which was a very welcome change. And I ended up with a 800 dollar drop ^^
Today was another fun thing. Got up and got some breakfast before going to Tae Kwon Doe. At which, btw, I was totally outranked... It was a class for the Green-Purples, and the Red-Blacks. I'm comfortable with the first group... but sparing with the black belt was more than a little nerve-racking. Lol. But I got through it ^^ Came home and dyed some eggs for easters tomorrows. and then went to works.
Enjoy your Easter!!
