My Past: I'Liana is an only child who was raised in the Verona woods by her hunter father. She always had a firey temper, even at a young age, and her father brought I'Liana with him to hunt and clean the meat hoping to channel her anger into something productive. After only a year of helping him to clean meant, I'Liana refused to eat any meat besides pork; the only meat her father didn't kill. Worried for his daughter's health, he made her stay home and learn magic instead. I'Liana struggled with the patient skill and didn't learn it very quickly. Once she got older, she started sneaking out when her father left instead of practicing. She would mostly going into town to learn things there. Over the years she learned to read, write, and to count by watching the townsfolk, mainly the blacksmith. He taught her many things and eventually caved into her begging and began teaching her about metalurgy. Falling in love with it, I'Liana waited until she was 11 and could become an apprentice to confront her father and ask him to allow her to become the blacksmith's apprentice. Angry that I'Liana had disobeyed him all this time and snuck out, he denied her an apprenticeship. Of course not listening to her father's wishes, she continued to sneak out. Instead of exploring, I'Liana worked in the town doing odd jobs, mainly lifting and carrying, sometimes fetching errands, and earned money each day to pay the blacksmith to apprentice her. Learning of her continued misbehaviour, her father kicked her out of his home saying if she wanted to act like an adult and disobey him, she could live like one. Angry at her father for being stubborn, she left as he wished and stayed in the blacksmith's shop. I'Liana graduated to a journeyman blacksmith, thus finishing her apprenticeship, with the creation of her enchanted twin hook swords, Thel and K'toya at the age of 15. In all of the four years she had apprenticed, she and her father never spoke. When the kings were assasinated, many small skirmishess broke out in the forests. Worried that her father wouldn't be safe, she went back to convience him to live with her. When she got there, her father wasn't there. Looking for him, she found out several days later that he died during one of the skirmishes. Devastated, I'Liana hid herself away in her fathers house for several months before finally selling the property and moving back to town to work alongside her master.
