rain pooring down in the night sky, hitting the window cill. The father looks out the window while preparing a nice meal to end the long day that turned gruggy. Sturring his wooden spoon in the silver pot as it steams out it's delicious sent.
the child walks in and similes," father do you need help?" the man shows an apriciatng smile," oh yes... I would like some help thank you." continues to stear,"... Can you hand me that peper over there?" the boy nodded and walked over to the spice wrack and searched. After a few secounds of scrambling threw spices, he picked up the pepper and started walking twords his father with a helpful grin on his face" there you go pa."
"thank you,"the father takes the peper and shakes it over the pot being careful not to add to much.
"what are you making?" smelling the aroma from the pot.
" oh just some special soup that my mother made for me when i was your age. I'm making it so we and our guests will be worm for the night since its all cold and wet." he continues to stear a bit then brings a spoon full of soup to up to his mouth to taste it. " mmmm good old soup, tastes almst like my mothers soup, but it's done. get me a few bowls so i can serve some soup to everyone." the little boy smiles, " OK, pa." he starts for the caboard and puts up a stepping stool up so he can reach. he climbs up and grabs a few bowls then climbs down. walks bake over to his father and places the bowls out on the table so they can all be filled with the great smelling soup.
