The boy shook his head looking at his surroundings. The noises around him loud and the lights overhead bright. His senpai draped on hand over his shoulders and the gray haired boy had to look up at the scythe his eyes narrowing when the bright light fell apon his eyes. "Senpai... why are we here?" he asked noticing Sid, Nygus, Azusa and Marie sitting at a table in the far corner. Spirit smiled leading the white clad boy to the others. "It IS your birthday after all, why not have fun!" the scythe said in a enthusiastic tone. The technicain sighed looking as children ran from one side of the room to the other, the noises coming from the machines seemed to get louder. "But why HERE. Why couldn't I just stay home, you could've invit-" The taller boy shook his head spinning the technicain around to face the others. "Were already here! Don't be such a fun-sucker." he said pushing the boy gently. Stein scowled and the others disperced to play the games and to get something to eat. Marie then grabbed his arm pulling him away from the table. "Marie-chan... what are you doing? I don't want to play any games...." Honestly the thought of playing a game made him sick. The blonde girl smiled at him, her visible eye sparkling with happiness. "It's your birthday! Why don't we have some fun!" she then stopped infront of a large game. She handed him a padded hammer that was attatched to the game and smiled at him. Her own arm turned into a hammer and she giggled inserting coins into the game. Stein jumped back when the machine came to life, little plastic animals popping out of their homes. He watched as Marie started to hit them, every once and awhile she would dent the plastic head, obviously not aware of her own strength. Spirit then came from behind them after the game had finished, startling the blonde. Stein stared up at him, his olive eyes showing his unamusement. "Senpai... can we leave yet." he asked, the scythe shook his head, "Not until you actually ENJOY yourself." Marie giggled trailing behind the meister and weapon.
After a while and what seemed like a century to Stein, the scythe had given up on 'having fun'. The scythe now sat on the couch of their shared dorm glaring at the technicain as he stared at a caged bird. His eyes wandered and found that the scythe's gaze was fixed on him. He stood, picking up the cage and walking out of the room. Spirit, without even looking back spoke to the technicain. "At least you've found SOMETHING to entertain you..." Stein looked back chuckling at the sarcasm in the scythe's voice.
