My tale begins with... Ella was a the daughter of well known elf clan of the east. As most people know the East is where most development occurs first. Ever since she was entering her 'teenage' years, her clan was on the run. They had been successful living in the forest, till it was all cut down. The clan adapted and so did Ella. Removing their elf-like clothes for more urbanized outfits. Most covered their ears to hid their identities, others took their chances. Ella's family were ones that chose not to hide. In the end it cost the family more than they knew.
It wasn't long till almost all of Ella's family were captured or changed. Ella watched and cried as it all happened, but she remained strong. Holding on to the pure thoughts of the forest. But one day that all changed. While walking home with friend that covered their ears. They were attacked by a rouge vampire. The friend got a way but Ella grabbed. Fighting so hard against the vampire won her her life. The vampire gave her the chance to live but at a terrible price.
When Ella returned home she didn't look or feel much different. It wasn't till a month later when then need to feed came to her. At first it was just a small pang in the pit of her stomach. But as the days rolled on she looked at her family as food... not just her loved ones. One night while at the dinner table, Ella started to breath heavy, starving and aching for something to starve it. The food they had placed before her didn't make it any better, only making her sick. The mother figure of the house cut her self and the smell of blood caused her to snap. It was then she snapped.
Throwing the table over she dove for the finger and started to drink. The woman screamed in horror as Ella began to change. Ella's usual white hair turned red and her blue eyes turned bright yellow. The scream caused the young adult elf to grow angry and she took all the blood from the elf as the rest of the family tried to beat her off. After she was done with her, Ella moved on to other members. It wasn't till the third had died, were they able to get a clear hold on her. Knocking Ella out the dark red hair and yellow eyes stayed for days. When she finally woke her hair and eyes were back to normal.
Ella unlike many vampires on their first feed remembered everything. As penitence she stabbed out her own eyes and ran way from the family. Hate riled in her. For a while she blamed herself, but as time wore on she started to blame the world. Especially when the slave traders captured her and no one stopped them though her many cries for help.
Side note: Ella can see in vampire/berserk.
