The Academy Part 1

Kali groaned. "Father, MUST I go to the Academy?" She pleaded. Kali was a short brunette 12 year old with storm grey eyes. ALthough her family was originally British, She lived in New Hampshire with her mother and her little brother, but today, her father and older brother and sister twins were home from the Academy in England. Kali didn't know EXACTLY what the Academy was. What its focuses were, but she did know that the Academy was a place that was so secretive, that they didn't even make pamphlets.

"Kallissa, you know you must train at the Dunsworth Academy like your siblings and become Profesional like them. As I did and as my siblings did." Dr. Korazza always said the weirdest things like "train" at the Academy as if it was a school for athletes or whatever. And become "Profesional" like "Profesional" was an occupation.
"Father, I don't want to train and become Profesional like Jill and Jim. The twins don't even talk anymore!"
"Kalissa, James and Jillianna only speak when they must and they are prodigies. You will be too. Tis in your blood."
"Father! I'm not going!"
"Kali, you will go. Eventually." With that, Dr. Korazza, Jill, and Jim left the dining room where they were eating leftover KFC from a few days ago.

"Mom, I think dinner was too American for them. I think they eat WHOLE honey roasted chicken with gourmet mash potatoes and atichoke with pink salmon. They only eat UK food."
"Kali, I know this is hard for you. But please don't make fun of our family. You will become just like them."
"But Mom! I'm not stepping foot on an airplane! And you can't make me!"
"Kali, please. Just go to Dunsworth, OK? It will make life easier for all of us."
"Oh, cuz I'm not going to be home? You can't deal with me? Thanks Mom, I really appreciate th-"
"KALI! I love being around you! It's just that the Academy demands five children from each family that had enrolled in its program for 10 generations. Your ancestors enrolled themselves in the Academy 300 years ago. Now all of their desendants must give Dunsworth 2 children from each inner family. Thats about 50 Korazza descendants that you'll meet at Dunsworth. Its life or death Kali. Its law."
