I had my piano recital earlier today. I think it sucked. I was playing the wrong notes out loud, right music softly. Pianos=Crappy. I felt embarrassed because I saw a piece i played last year and the people played it so much faster and properly. I just screwed it last year. Man I felt hella nervous at the beginning then I felt . We ( my sister and I) were 4th to last. I guess we did do good, but only good. I am not really into piano but I play it just because I play it. It's not a problem. I like it at some points. And I hate it at some points. I sped up the tempo. I realized I play faster every other years. That's how I screw up songs. Oh and by the way I played Canon in D. Hard version. This would be my 5th or 6th year playing piano.
For some background on how I started I was in a audition with the teacher. She doesn't just pick anyone! She even has a waiting list! If she thinks you are good enough you could be in her class. By luck i was choosen late. But at least I had some experience before. I think that could be my cause of being suckish at playing. I played The Entertainer by Scott Joplin for my audition. I knew a lot and the songs my first teacher taught me were easy so i didn't really need to try. (But now with my lastest teacher I need to.)
For some background of my styles I play Suzuki. Private Teaching. This would be my third year with Mrs. Chuing-Hwa Bryce. Before that I had a bad teacher. Now my posture is much better. I have these things called "Graduations" where you play a certain song and you have to do these techniques precise and perfect or you will not pass that level. I was going for level 2 or 3 but I was off by a week so I will get the March Graduation. So yeah.
