Today, I was assigned to go to the Veteran's Day parade, along with the rest of my group. Here's how the day unfolded. Went outside, practiced our formation in 40-degree weather. My hands went numb. Rode a bus to the Air Force Base, and took a picture in front of the B-52. None of us were allowed to talk for a while afterwards. Then, to the parade itself. As we marched down the long, asphault streets, we shouted jodies to keep our march on-step. We then approached the stand where military veterans stood. On the command of "Present arms!" Something clilcked. What was once sloppy and unorganized in practice, was next to flawless in this public execution. After our salute, we were told to carry on, and we marched down the street. All in all, it was a good day, aside from the cold.
