Huh... Didn't write a journal entry for a month. So here we go...
About two weeks ago, I moved the notebook computer server with a wireless-N USB card into my room temporarily. It was originally in the dining room. Days after the move, that area was very cluttered. I was like, "WTF?!" It's back in its original location because I exchanged two routers today after I said I was going to do so, back in March 2008.
Today, I switched two Linksys routers: a WRT150N (wireless-N) model and a WRT54Gv8 (wireless-G) model. (Protip: There is no version 7 of that router. razz ) The N router was the main router, also the unstable one. The G router was the secondary router, also the stable router, as far as I know. Probably should have told Mom I was going to, because she was watching a streaming video at that time. xd
Anyway, since the settings for the two routers were different, I temporarily used my Vista HP computer to change the main settings of the G router, and only then did I realize most other settings don't work with Firefox. stare So I used Internet Explorer on another computer, the Dell Dimension 8200, and changed the rest of the settings there. Security settings were open, now it's WPA-PSK, like the other router was, the SSID (broadcast) name was changed, and the connection settings were changed to PPPoE.
Now it's the N router's turn. It was a bit easier than setting up the G router. Changed the SSID name, the connection settings to DHCP (Automatic), and the security settings from WPA-PSK to WEP since the secondary router was meant for our Nintendo DSes.
That tired me out, though. xp Guess that's all for me today. sweatdrop Later.
