A.D. 3000...
It was a dark and ominous night. It was raining really heavily, huge drops spattering Sky's window. He couldn't sleep well because of the rain and because tomorrow was going to be his first day as a SkyKnight. Lightning rolled nearby and he stared at the window cautiously. He covered himself completely, whispered Good Luck, and fell asleep.
A few secinds passed the Darkness. Just Darkness. Sky opened his eyes. he wasn't in his room anymore. "Sky..." He looked around. "Who's there...?" he called. "Your destiny... is to protect Her..." "Who are you?!" he suddenly started to panic for he started to fall. He fell head-first into a huge lake. He quickly swam up to the surface to catch his breath. After he surfaced, he started to sink again. The water was pulling him down! He thrust foward, trying to get himself free. He gasped as the water pulled him under. He thrashed wildly, but then his thrashes lessened as his breath was sucked away from him. He closed his eyes, accepting his fate, until suddenly he felt two strong, yet delicate hands; one on each of his arms. Seconds later, he was at the surface.
He gasped for air but got clogged mid-way. He coughed, then threw up mouthfulls of water. He closed his eyes, suddenly tired. The hands still clutched his arms, but more gently now. "Are you ok?" a soft voice asked. Sky's eyes flew wide open, startled. "Did... did you save me?" mhe coughed. It was a tan-skinned young femalewith fiery-colored lochs (Bangs, hair, whatever you call it). Her blueish-white eyes locked with his amber-onyx eyes. "Yes..." She looked at the lake. "That's Leviathan Lake. It almost got you, you know" She chuckled a bit and looked back at him. He noticed that she wasn't human. She had wolf-like ears like him, but his were gray, hers were white. They both even had the same bushy tails. "You're not a SkyHuman, are you..." "I'm affraid you're right... I"m a SkyWolf... but hey, it's ok" Sky smiled inwardly as she sat besides him.
After a long, awkward silence she suddenly blurted out: "Do you wanna be a SkyKnight?" Sky looked at her, bewildered. Then he suddenly remmembered. He was going to be a SkyKnight the next day. But he now wasn't sire if this was a dream or real life. He nodded absently. "I can't be a SkyKnight... I can't fly... and I'm no SkyHuman... And I'm a..." "A female, yeah, i know..." Sky finished. "Well, I can't fly, either." he sighed. She looked up at him. "Yes you can, Sky" Sky stared at her with new eyes. "H-How do you know my name?" "I'm Ryka, a DreamWalker. I am here to unlock your true abilities as SKyKnight..." Ryka took out a neckalace from her pocket. From the sky, two rays of light hit the Earth. "You shall become a true SkyKnight..." She put the neckalace around his neck. He locked gazes with her. She gently passed her fingers through his cheeks. He winced. His cheeks started to burn. She marked his cheeks with wolf-like markings. They looked like clawmarks.
The rays of light dissapeared, revealing a flame-encrusted sword-- The Flameing Sword of the Sun-- and a chillingly-cold blade-- The Sub-Zero Sword of the Arctics-- "This will be your weapons of choice, your SkyBlades... And these--" she gestured to his back. Huge wings sprouted from his back. They were Angel Wings. "--Will make the greatest SkyKnight of them all..." "Will I... ever see you again...?" he whispered. "We will cross paths, you'll see..." She held both of his hands and kissed him. He had closed his eyes and when he opened them, he was back in his bed; It was morning.
