"Now wait just a minute," he said, "I can't let you leave. There's no telling what the neighbors would think if they saw a human leaving my house. I'll be killed. Or sent to a dungeon somewhere. I have to keep you hidden now, until I can come up with some other way to get rid of you." I stopped and looked at the cat. "Gee thanks," I said with hatred on my words, "Sorry to inform you that in America, there are no dungeons, humans are everywhere, and cats don't talk. Now move or I'll kick you out of my way." I made towards the door and the cat, ready to toss him out of the way. "You're wrong," he said, "You're not in Kansas anymore, Dorothy. This isn't your world, and it isn't the same. So unless you want to be killed too, I suggest you listen to me." "Okay, sure," I said rolling my eyes, "This is all just a dream anyways so I'll play along. Until I wake up. So what's your plan, little cat?" I crossed my arms and glared at him. He let hs guard down a bit and sighed. He watched the floor for a while as if something were about to materialize from it. "I think," he began, walking over to a book shelf full of heavy-looking books, "that there was an old, magical being that created this world. He created the portals to this world." The cat used a small ladder to reach the top shelf and hoist down the biggest book I've ever seen. he teetered on the step and looked like he was about to fall, but he regained balance and walked carfully down the ladder again. He put the book on the coffee table and opened it up. As he was skimming through pages, I said, "You think I can get home by way of a legendary magical guy who made a world?" He looked up for a second but went back to reading. After a minute, he finally said, "Aha!" making me startle. "Here it is!" He began to read, "'Reto was in the forests of the East where he soon fell ill due to the poison of his stepson's (viper) bite. Reto shared his secrets of creating the world with only his closest companions, however, the identity of these companions has forever remained a mystery, and these persons may well have died with those secrets long ago.'" He closed the book and made to put it back on the shelf. "So, the only guys who could get me home are dead. Wonderful," I said with a frown. "What now, cat?"
That's all for now. My eyes are tired.
~Yawn~ So sleepy. My short nap did nothing for me. Goodnight.
