The Amethyst Ring
Chapter 1. Human.
"Alli, I still can't believe she's dead."
I put his head in my hands and sighed.
"I know it's hard we just have to deal with it."
"But will I ever find someone like her again?"
I felt kind of weird asking my little sister this.
"Yes, maybe the next one will be better."
She offered.
"Yes, maybe."
"Ben, it's okay to cry, but it's not healthy to give the dog a bath in your tears."
Alishia teased.
I laughed a little.
Max was sleeping...again.
He's been sleeping ever sence I got home.
Which has been like 4 hours!
Lazy mutt, but he was all I had left of Rose.
So I guess he's okay...beside him having a small bladder.
"Ben, can I ask you something?"
Alishia asked.
"Sure, anything. What is it?"
"Would," She paused and tears ran down her pale cheeks.
"Would you hold me, If I cried?"
I smiled softly and opened my arms for her.
She ran into me and sobbed.
"Hold on, we have to stay strong."
I whispered and rubbed her back gentely.
Great! I'm wearing my good shirt and she has to cry all over me!
I felt her shoulders move up and down as she sobbed.
"Be strong, Alli, be strong."
I whispered faintly feeling bad.
"Mom and Dad watch us every second of the day."
I said.
I felt her smile.
She looked at me.
"Your right. Thanks."
Alishia said and wiped all her tears gone.
"Are you done?"
"Yes siry Bob!"
She said and hugged me.
"Isn't that cute, Tessa?"
I heard.
"Alli don't move."
I warned and pushed her on the couch.
She sat still, her eyes wide open.
"Hello, Ben!"
Henry said and the words were followed by his laughter.
"Did you miss me?"
I felt my teeth grinding.
"Ben, don't! I don't want to lose you!"
I looked at Alishia shocked.
"Do you acutally believe I'll lose?"
I sounded offended.
"I don't know."
She admitted softly.
I felt shivers down my spine.
My own sister didn't believe in me.
"Alishia..."
"Alishia!"
Henry Mocked and broke the window open.
"Alli! Hide!"
I shouted and felt a huge blow in my stomache.
"Ah!"
I coughed and landed on all fours.
Breathing heavily I motioned Alishia to get out.
She shook her head.
"I'm not leaving you!"
She shouted and I saw Tessa run towards her.
"Move!"
I shouted and pushed Alishia to the side and took the blow.
The attack was so intense it slammed me into the wall.
I felt weak.
I smelt something...something weird.
I felt something wet too.
My head was aching, my breathing was unsteady.
"Ben! Are you al-"
My sister ran towards me then stoped.
Her eyes were wide, I could tell she was holding her breath.
"What? What is it?"
I stammered.
Suddenly I saw what she was shocked about.
Blood.
My blood.
"I-I'm human?"
I shouted and looked up at Henry.
Henry laughed.
Tessa grabbed my sister and held her hostage.
"How did you-"
I started to say.
"Ben, You see once you took my blow, I injected human blood into you."
Alishia looked away.
"So that blood, turned you human. That also makes you vonerable to vampires! Even your sister."
I couldn't believe it! That b*****d turned me human!
Henry sniffed the air deeply.
"Ahh..."
He sighed.
"The sweet smell of blood, your blood."
I could tell Tessa was hungry as well, she was twitching.
I tried to get up, but sense humans were weak and pathetic, I fell back down.
Pain ached every inch of my body.
I've never before felt this kind of pain.
"Alishia, I'm sorry."
I said and she looked at me curious.
"Ben, You said you wouldn't lose."
I felt another thing I've never felt before.
Guilt.
"Sorry."
I whispered.
My head was swirling, my arms were numb, and my legs were just laying there.
Is this how Rose felt?
I have to be strong!
I can't end up dead like her.
I have to, for Alli!
I clumsily got up to my feet.
Henry stoped laughing and snarled his fangs at me.
Breathing heavily I took a step forward.
Suddenly I saw Henry flick his wrist.
My air was gone.
I gasped and gasp.
Nothing.
I was gasping so hard, my thoart started to burn.
My lungs and my heart hurt so bad.
My head throbbed.
"Ben No!"
My sister screeched.
I looked at her.
She had tears running down her cheeks on to the floor.
Her pale skin, her brown hair, her crimson eyes.
Yes, I thought, Alli is also hungry.
I have to get out of here.
I looked at Henry gasping.
Soon I lost my balance and fell onto my hands and knees.
Staring at the ground, gasping for air.
I felt woozy and dizzy.
I started to weave back and fourth, until I collapsed.
"Ben No!"
My sister cried, but Tessa held her mouth.
"Quiet fool!"
She snapped.
Then everything went black, and I couldn't feel or see anything.
