The 3rd we took a trip down to the Missouri border, and bought a little under $300 worth of illegal fireworks. The rest of the day was spent setting off various firecrackers and bottle rockets, and a couple roman candles and a volcano after dark. The fourth, it rained cry Only in the morning, at least - but we still had to stand in the pouring rain to get into the annual fireman's breakfast. The tent nearly came down on top of us, too. For the rest of the day (after it quit raining) we just lounged around and set off more firecrackers and bottle rockets. Then, after dark...we broke the big stuff out! It was the best show in the neighborhood, and looked pretty professional for just pre-boxed fireworks. The only downside was that our yard is small, so we had debris raining down on us sweatdrop After it was all over and we'd broken out sparklers for the younger kids, the cops showed up - but we managed to talk him away and nobody got in trouble. Oh, and there was the parade of course. I felt sort of bad competing with the little kids for candy...oh well. I let them have what I didn't want.
And I got my Winged Anklets! New quest: a second Kiki, until I figure out what I really want to go for.
