...Also, a Computer That Should Never Have Be Resurrected.
The house except the living room is in disarray... I'm listening to a 1997 Celine Dion album for some odd reason... Very tired due to rebuilding a dismantled computer (the Dell Optiplex GX1), which really was a waste of time. It works, but it's more problematic than it originally was.
Somehow, the floppy drive controller doesn't seem to work properly. And worse, it has Windows 98SE. What if I had to reinstall the system from DOS, or even on a reformatted hard disk, since the CD was never originally bootable? Pointless. stare However, the operating system already installed on the last hard disk runs smoothly without the "extender," for which I forgot the actual part name AND its number. If plugged in, Windows shows a "No PS/2 mouse connected" dialog and immediately freezes. Along with the motherboard USB ports broken, surged, and deemed nonfunctional, its only use is a network computer... unless THAT computer becomes unstable like Cyrix did.
Anyway... The dining room has computers and computer parts everywhere... My room, after being cleaned for less than a day, has boxes and stuff everywhere... Another room is in worse condition than my room is, but not entirely my fault though...
On the bright side, the Nintendo Wii my Mom ordered two weeks ago arrived and we have yet to try it out. Right now, it just sits in its original packaging in my room... out in the open. When it arrived, and it had to arrive while Dad was still here, Mom got so excited, we decided to see what it would look like. Also, we haven't read the manual thoroughly yet, so that has to be done even before we set it up.
Now since this took me nearly an hour to type up, I'm somewhat awake. razz Okay, I have to start on the other room first. gonk Later.
