Dang, lack of description here for the following event... sweatdrop
* * * *
The 8th PC has f-ed up again! Ah, well. I'll describe it better and edit this post later.
1. Just decided to go on the computer yesterday, reason was to download another partitioning program.
2. Before the downloading and burning of the CD-based program, randomly clicked on drives to see that the D drive has suddenly corrupted (or seemed that way). Then I burned the ISO. whee
3. Restarted the computer just to see if the problem would clear up. It didn't, so I then was going to delete the glitched folders, but quickly decided against it. I then thought of using Scandisk to scan the affected drive for errors. There were.
4. Spent about ten minutes renaming files from their standard DOS 8-character status, stressed and deleted the rest I wasn't using from the start, as I already had a backup of them. biggrin
From the start, I said these words: "After this, I'm so going to use Linux."
But if you can solve Windows-related problems, you pretty much covered about 80% of computer users everywhere.
