ok i live and breath music.....almost 16 hours a day either, singing, playing or listening...and i could go on and on about how much i hate the popular music industry, but this isn't about me, so what do YOU think

I hate the gangsta rap takeover. It's repetitive and mindless and... and... a lot of stuff that good music isn't. Also, they don't play enought R.E.M., White Stripes, or good alternative in general.

I like all music but opera and gosple and stuff like that. The rap is pointless, true, but I like the beats in it. Repetitive beats are strangly soothing to me. Although the language gets on my last nerves.

Parisian Loafer I hate the gangsta rap takeover. It's repetitive and mindless and... and... a lot of stuff that good music isn't. Also, they don't play enought R.E.M., White Stripes, or good alternative in general. [(.:;:.Just put your lips to the TV.:;:.)] I don't like "gangsta rap" as you put it, but i do listen to TobyMac, he's a christian rapper, sings about his faith and stuff. And ya i agree, i don't usually listen to the radio that much as it's all rap....it would be great if they played underoath on the radio! But if you like Alt rock.....check out.... www.tractionradio.com, there alternative rock is pretty sweet

I am no longer watching MTV, since they broadcast more ringtone ads and show videos in between. Also in Germany they only show R'n'B and Hiphop or Rap, if they show Metal or Rock stuff it's always either Slipknot or Metallica.
Also the music industry destroys music culture, by casting bands and using prewritten songs. I mean, a band is working its a** off to get along with their music and their lives, and then comes a ******** to Idol and gets everything. I myself was a short time a small part of the music industry (though underground), and I write on my banner not to work with casted people or users of prewritten songs.
It is simply not honest to tell someone thoughts which are not the own!

Most of the music channels have stopped playing good music, but I will admit there is a good song or artist on every once in awhile.

The contest was for commenters to leave the most passionate comment, and the winner would present the video on MTV and online. My favorite genre is Christian screamo/hardcore, and the second i tell someone i'm listening to screamo they think i'm a satanist or something....ugh bothers me stressed . I personally love underground bands, alot more personal connection with their fan base. The music also much more personal....

I hate how "gansta" rappers can get away with saying whatever the hell they want. And how there's never any good music on TV. 50 Cent won't go away if you stop playing his videos (unfortunatly) so cut the crap and play some bloody Cradle of Filth!

Yeah Gangstarap sucks! I mean: these gangsta assholes are bums, doing s**t, getting busted, released, producing an album, telling everyone how good they are now and doing s**t again...
They are always whining like "life ownz me hard", but they never did anything to improve their situation. And I bet 50 Cents scars are not wounds from several bullets. Gangstarappers are simply clowns! Sorry for sounding racist, but they should really get enslaved and pick up cotton again. Youtube is my MTV! I hate youtube I have a deep antipathy against it.

Which one was it when you looked (I had over 20 I think before I had to get rid of the alternating images of metal albums in order to be able to put in my avi art. Character limits suck).
