I got a new CD today. It's called "All Shined Up" by The Law. They're a country band one of my teachers is in. They've opened up for a couple relatively big singers at local concerts. Don't know if they'll get very successful though.
The only reason I wanted the CD is because my teacher is in the band. I hate country music, and the CD is awful. xD
There's another popular local band around here. I don't remember their band name, but I think they have a CD circulating through the school and they play at the coffeshops in town and get a big turnout there. [Big for our town.] I haven't had a chance to hear any of their stuff yet, but I think I'd like it. They play rock type stuff. Kinda cool.
Have any real cool local bands who have yet to make it big?

We have two main local bands that I like: Lunacy Driven and Dear Eden. Lunacy is heavy metal and Dear Eden is.....well, hard to describe but if i had to put them in a genre I'd say folky acoustic rock. Here's the links to their sites if you want to check them out. Lunacy DrivenDear Eden

AFI was a local band I started listening to years ago a few months before they got thier big reecord deal, it's pretty neat to listen to a band and then all of sudden they get famous world wide, it's like knowing a big secret before anybody else, lol.

will the flood behind me? One of my favorite local bands is From Aphony. Very good, and they might have a really good chance to become known.
I feel the same about AFI, but something just isn't right with them anymore. They lost that punkie feeling once they became main-stream. put out the fire inside?

We have a few bands locally that I hope make it big, and a few that already have. Hey Rosetta is really good, and they're doing fairly well, and other bands like The Ennis Sisters and Great Big Sea are doing really well.
