Why not? Anyone want to discuss their acting life here?

I just saw my friend, Nhut, on TV!!! It was only a show for PBS, but still. It's gonna be cool to see him in school tomorrow.

...So to get this started, let's start with a question. Dream role?

When we did Romeo and Juliet, we didn't have enough guys so some girls got to play guy roles. I wanted to be Mercutio so bad because he's just cool, but I ended up playing the nurse (second time I've played her) and my friend Jenn got Mercutio. I was so mad! She didn't get the character at all.

-Elizabeth Bennett, Pride and Prejudice
-Claire , the Time-Taveller's Wife
-Hamlett(a little unrealisitc ill warrant)

I don't act, I prefer more the working of a play, like backstage and such.

Mine was Tybalt. I got to play him just recently; it was amazing! I'm so glad the director decided to do a female cast.

Granted it was just a scene for a showcase, but it was the best scene! the fight scene! Not only did I get to stage-fight, kill somebody, but I also got to die!

Mercutio is awesome; he's my favorite. I wish I'd gottent o play him if only so I could have the most drawn out death in the history of dieing! xd

i am mostly into broadway, to those of you who would know what i'm talking about.
The best roles i've done would have to be

Hedy LaRou- How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying
Val (tit's and a** girl)- A Chorus Line
and
Evil Step Mother- Into the woods

other than that i am usually ensemble.

I've acted at school before. No leads, but important characters to the story. We performed The Baseball Show, and I was the stuck up coach whose last name starts with a Z (I forgot his name ^^ wink . And this year at school, we performed "The Diary of Anne Frank". Oh God, was it good! I didn't appear until the way end, as a Nazi. But it was worth it, I got to kick my friend down some stairs.

As for dream roles, I'd love to play Ash in Evil Dead: The Musical. I love those movies! mrgreen

I like being the rich evil guys in the school plays I've been in.

I have been in some musicals for opera houses, but nothing major. I'd love the be like...Dracula, in Dracula.

I've been in: Much Ado About Nothing, Beauty and The Beast, See How They Run, The King and I.

This fall I will be in The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and I'll play Jeanne Poole. I am really excited about this show because it will be the first time our school has really drifted away from comedy and we have some extremely talented people who will be showcased perfectly. [[And, on a sillier level, I really just like the fact that I get shot and raped... XD]]
