In Oz Poker Machines must return between 80 and 90% of all money that goes in.
In Gaia I would say it is closer to 25% ( 100gold = 25 tickets)
Although in Blackjack I pretty much get 1:1.
Is Gambling in Gaia worth it?
Is teh gold you spend on the tokens/tickets worth what you can buy
and Prize and Joy?

Blackjack seems to be an okay deal... especially now that the daily chance gives out tokens so often.
Slots... well, I just don't quite get the allure of those.
And frankly, I've never bought a single item from Prize and Joy. rolleyes

I reckon that to get a full outfit you would need about 400,000 tickets.
the maximum you can get it one spin is 300,000.
presuming that there is a 1 in 100,000 chance of getting a max payout
(going from the odds given) then the chances of getting enough tix for
1 outfit is 1 in almost half a million.
Given that there are 5 million Gaians, I will let yo uwork out how many have gambling stuff.
But, on average the Prize and joy stuff goes for double in gold the number of tickets it cost.
Tickets are sold on the marketplace for about 2 gold = 1 ticket as well.
So, if you want the item, gambling may be worth it... But as an activity to fill your time on Gaia... Not worth it.
The other stuff at least gives you gold.

Nope. I don't think it is worth it and after perusing the shop I was not impressed with the end results of the gambling venture...but when you are bored and have no life it is something to do.

I find that the slots in gaia have the worst payoff of any slot machine I have ever played. I have played at 3 different casino's and I dont know a half dozen different slot machines.
Some people must get very lucky at the slots, starting with 100 gold I was lucky to leave with 20 tickets.
Playing Blackjack I have found that I actually left with more tickets then I started with gold at one point because of the dealers giving you tickets when you beat them.
To add to that, I take my 1 to 1 ratio of gold to tickets then take them to th e market place, I try and sell the tickets for 2.2 times the amount in gold. Often times I can sell 100 tickets for 280 gold. What a profit.
So in my case, gambling with blackjack has done wonders for me. Slots on the other hand has just laughed at me.
