Normally, I'd love them...But for the way some of their lyrics are in songs like "closer", I try to stay away from them, since almost everyone around me hates them so much. And will rip out my throat if they catch me listening to a song like that.
However, they are the creators of perhaps my fav (or tied) song EVER "Something I can never have"! That song explains me only too well...And I LOVED their song Everyday is exactly the same. Some of their other songs sound awesome too, but again, it's the lyrics I hate. So I like them, but don't love them.
EDIT: And Trent is amazing. Very attractive, too...=D (And as I'm sure a million other girls agree with me.)

Im a hugh NIN fan ^_^
i think trent is such a lyrical genius, some of his songs are really special to me. i dont like his "new" technoy stuff that much, theyre still good but cant compete against their old style
my really like "something i can never have" "closer" and "the great below" but my all time favourite is "Hurt". it has such a deep meaning

I totally heart NIN. I listened to them growing up. Yeah, I had a warped childhood - but only slightly. Trent Reznor lived near my mawmaw for a while.
About this time last year, I considered "Only" to be my theme song. Nowadays it's more like "La Mer," which gives me the chills, because it reminds me of myself playing with a piano at a very young age.

So I like them, but don't love them. sweetie, i have something to tell you. the song closer is my favorite song, BECAUSE OF THE LYRICS. that song is about the spiritual component of the sexual experience, in addition to being a love song, from the christian perspective, which views that expierience as perverse. I think its deliciously sexual, and deliciouslly honest. I also love the album: the downward spiral, for its intese and darkly themed nature, and the song "the becoming" is also one of my favorites.

I adore Trent Reznor, and absolutely love many of his songs. Piggy, Only, and Burn are among my favorites.
I also enjoy many of his songs produced and re-mixed for other artists like, Marilyn Manson, N.E.R.D., David Bowie, and others.
