I want to visit Germany this year. Does anyone have any suggestions of what to see around Frankfurt?

I've only been to Germany once and I was only there for 2 hours (I was waiting in an airport to catch a flight to Greece). I haven't the faintest idea what to see around Frankfurt. Sorry. sweatdrop

Frankfurt Airport should sink into the Earth, (no bitterness there)
Other parts of Germany are fun though.

Ich leibe Ulm, Deutchland.
I would go there. The highest church spire in the world. ^____^
If not, go to the bigger cities. They must be famous for a reason.

It's all about Wacken Open Air Fest mate. Biggest metal show in the world, annual, in Germany.

Germany is one of the best countries in the world, in my opinion. I've never been to Frankfurt, just Munchen (aka Munich) and Heidelberg. Munchen was fun and a really big city, while Heidelberg is quite quaint and gives you the old-Germany feel. I'd reccommend seeing Bavaria, but I've never been anywhere else in the country, so I suppose that statement is somewhat biased. XP

The botanical garden IN Frankfurt is a good place to visit. I was just in Germany myself for a visit about four months ago. The town of Lich is nearby -nice quiet and pleasant place -I'd suggest visiting the Kloister nearby and the fortress between there and Frankfurt (I THINK that;s where it is.) Anyhow, depending on when you go, I would try and time it so you can celebrate Oktoberfest.
