Last summer I spent a month in Guatemala--3 weeks with my foreign exchange sister (who had spent 3 months with me the previous year) and 1 week with my traveling group going to a spanish school and doing some community service. And to those of you who live in holes, Guatemalans do not live in trees. -_-


Has anyone else here been, or even lives/ed in a Central/South American country? I would love to share my experiences with those who care, I love Guatemala so much.

^The famous Mayan temple, and that pit in the middle of the open space is where they sacraficed humans. Fun stuff. And the huts you see are there to protect artifacts.

My friend's family went there to adopt his sister.

I went to Honduras this summer, and it was absolutely amazing!

I lived in Argentina and Chile for a total of 5 and a half months. Visited Uruguay while I was there too. My favorite places to be was in Buenos Aries, Argentina and Pichilemu, Chile. I love it down there, can't wait to get back.
The one thing I really want to do is backpack around Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay and maybe up into Brazil. Take a good 6 months to do it, but it would be a blast!!!!

I went to Honduras for an archaeological dig. It was amazing! Didn't get to go by the coast, but got to go to San Pedro Sula and a lot of major archaeological sites! It was amazing! I have awesome pics if anyone wants to see them! PMme
