Holy Fandango! eek
He had a perfect combo of over 900 there near the end. I had no idea someone could move their feet that fast.

That would be my guess, but that's how I see all the people do it on the arcade games who are really good, they hold onto the bars. I know I could never be that good, that's crazy.

You know what? That video would have impressed me but two things hinder it. One being that he was playing In the Groove, which is a terrible ripoff of DDR, and Two... he was Bar whoring. Bar whores are are people who can't cut it playing the game it was meant to be played and hold onto things for support. I know players who can and have done much more impressive rounds, without the crutch of a bar.
therefore... this kid ='s Teh Suck. 3nodding

The bars serve two purposes, 1 is for safety, Konami doesn't want to Mame it's players; 2. Tricks and showing off, For instance during the pause in the song Abyss for DDR I know some kids who take the time time to hop off of the bar run around the machine then continue.
Holding onto the bars is a sign of selling out. and is considered wicked lame.
