Hello, everyone. In this Filler, I plan to give Reader Rabbit 2-3 from The Learning Company the Scoring Measurement Treatment as the Scoring System differs from Game to Game. However since the DOS Version and Windows Version are the same, we'll be looking at the Deluxe CD-ROM Versions.
Then combine them for a real result
This way, you can understand what the optimization scores mean for the actual games when you play them and how you can set the levels. For the scoring, I'll either mention the Maximum/Minimum scores, as I have to play each of the games to find out.

This was one the the learning company games I had fond memories of at home and school during my childhood. Reader Rabbit 1 & 3 was played in schools on the Mac OS Computers when I was growing up.
This game had 3 versions being the DOS Version, Deluxe CD-ROM Windows Version and updated Windows Version as Reader Rabbit Reading 2. Reader Rabbit 1 also got Reader Rabbit Reading 1 and Reader Rabbit 3 doesn't have a Remake version at all as this was 1997.
Other than that. The Scoring in the Deluxe Version does have a Progress Report which only shows the number correct answers and wrong answers as a static percentage but no score indicator.
From what I can tell the game had 4 activities to play: Word Mine Vowel Pond Match Patch and Alphabet Dance
As for the Scoring, here's how it worked... Across the 4 activities are 4 levels with a 30 Point total as a 10 of each item equals to a clear marker on the rail car.
= Total Points across all 4 Levels Word Mine: 120 Points Vowel Pound: 120 Points Match Patch: 120 Points Alphabet Dance: 120 Points Grand Total: 480 Points

One thing to note is that Match Patch, the 3rd activity does not have a right/wrong answer counter percentage as its more likely a memory game activity. As a result, it shows a Games Completed Counter instead. I want make note of the fact that some Edutainment Activities may or may not count toward the track record of a maximum score count. So the lack of a Progress tracker for a Memory Game themed activity does not count. Reader Rabbit 2 in this case, is one of several few educational software that has a progress counter for a Memory Themed Activity Game.
After a calculating the Max Score for Reader Rabbit 2 Deluxe, I finished it with a Score of 448 Points, that's an A Rank & 93.3 Accuracy Rating

Reader Rabbit 3
There were plenty of Educational Games on School Computers back when I was growing up. Reader Rabbit 3 was also played in schools on the Mac OS Computers when I was growing up.
This game had 2 versions being the DOS Version, Deluxe CD-ROM Windows Version and updated Windows Version. What was odd about this game is that it had early current event examples being Who, What, Where, Why, How, When and Did What for the Past, Present and Future even though it was set in a cartoon fictional setting set for children where they would get a first hand at being a Newspaper Reporter in the game. The reason being that this game is as close as a school newspaper club would get to being the Daily Skywriter.
From my past experiences with this game and from what I observed, it had 4 activities to play: What's the Scoop Clue Hounds Sneek Peek and Ed Words
The Printing Press is just for fun and when a person takes a screenshot of that that newspaper example, they can erase the headlines and make their own in an Ms-Paint way which nowadays is possible through DOSBOX Running Windows 3x or Virtual Machines (86Box or PCem) running Windows 9x.
Across the 4 activities are 4 levels with a 70 Point total as a 10 of each newspaper clippings to collect so as to fill a Newsstand in order to advance to the next level
= Total Points across all 4 Levels What's the Scoop: 280 Points Clue Hounds: 280 to 308 Points (+28 Bonus Questions answered Correctly) Sneek Peek: 280 Points Ed Words: 280 Points Grand Total: 1,120 Points or 1,148 Points
Overall, Reader Rabbit 3 is one such edutainment game to have a Possible Maximum Score in the Thousands Digits which may think that the game sounds long but in reality, its a rare case that an Educational Software Game has a Points Inflation System in place
= Overall for Reader Rabbit 3 Final Score: 1,070 out of 1,148 Points Accuracy: 93.2 out of 100 Rating: 4.0 Rank: A
After completing Reader Rabbit 3 and running through a Maximum Score Algorithm for me to add it all up. I was able to complete Reader Rabbit 3 with a score of 1,070 Points which means a difference of 78 Wrong Answers, an accuracy of 93.2 out of 100 that measures up to an A Rank

I guess that's if for the Classic Reader Rabbit Trilogy, so I should add up both Reader--- Hang on... The Classic Reader Rabbit Trilogy got 2 updated versions made for Windows 9x Reader Rabbit Reading 1-2

But Reader Rabbit Reading 2 does have a scoring system in place as its the same as Reader Rabbit 2, so I see where this is going. Might as well take a quick look at it then to see what differences this may contain
