Three years had passed since Sailor Moon's triumph over Sailor Galaxia and the malevolent entity known as Chaos. For what felt like the first time in his life, Mamoru was at peace. No monsters, no transformations, no chaos or tragedy. Just him, his little apartment, and the woman he loves. The new living arrangements had taken some getting used to, of course. Figuring out how to fit all of Usagi's things in the apartment was a challenge in its own right... and Usagi, despite how far she had come, was still... well, Usagi, after all. These were all soon overcome, however. Though the road had been long... and not all battles were overcome unscathed-- at last, they were happy. "Come on--", Mamoru muttered to himself as he did his best to use his free hand to fumble for his keys. It had been a long day at university. After the incident with Sailor Galaxia, Mamoru had chosen not to study abroad in America after all... He preferred to stay local with Usagi, and he didn't regret it for an instant. Finals were coming up, however, and things had been... well, for lack of a better word, stressful. Mamoru wore a pink button-up tucked into a pair of khaki pants, and a pair of wide-framed spectacles upon his face. In his right hand he carries a plastic takeout bag, having picked up dinner for he and his fiancé on the way home... in his left hand he carriec a paper grocery bag with cat food for Luna, as well as other items that they needed. At last, he managed to reach the key in his pocket, only to drop it onto the floor. "Oh- damn it...", He grumbled, setting the bags down on the floor, before bending over to pick up the keys. "Everything alright there, Chiba?" Asked an inquisitive neighbor, walking down the hall on his way toward his own apartment. Mamoru flushed, and laughed awkwardly as he raised his hands. "Oh yeah, perfectly fine! Nothing to see here, ahahaha!" The neighbor raised an eyebrow, and stared Mamoru up and down, before moving on. "If you say so..." Mamoru inhaled through his nose, before exhaling sharply. He adjusted his glasses, before turning and finally unlocking and opening the door. "Hey everyone, I'm home! And I've brought dinner!" Mamoru called out as he picked up his bags and stepped into the house. "Hope you're hungry for sushi!" He placed the takeout bag on the table, before moving to the kitchen counter to begin putting away the groceries.

Three years have passed, and Usagi Tsukino (Eternal Sailor Moon) and her fellow Senshi have been living peaceful lives, enjoying their newfound calm and not dwelling on the events of the past. They have moved forward, cherishing the quiet moments and the normalcy they had yearned for.
As the Sailor Senshi enjoy their peaceful lives, unaware of the impending storm, they are about to be thrust into a new battle that will test their strength, resolve, and unity like never before. This is just the beginning—a calm before the storm that will challenge everything they thought they knew about their past, their future, and the true nature of their destinies.
The universe is vast, and the fight for peace is far from over.  There was no sign of Chibi-Usa's return yet, but that didn't stop Usagi from occasionally picking up a family photo of her, Mamoru, and herself. While Mamoru was away getting food, Usagi had taken to cleaning the house as her usual weekend routine. This also entailed comically tripping and falling on her a** a few times, crying, then going on her phone to try and cheer herself up, getting side-tracked, and then realizing she hadn't finished yet. Luckily, Mamoru missed out on all the drama and complaining Usagi went through. He most likely knew this was on her agenda and probably purposely left to avoid it. While mopping the wooden floors, Usagi carefully dipped the mop into the bucket, humming to herself as she worked. Lost in her thoughts, she didn't notice a small puddle of water forming beneath her feet. Suddenly, her foot slipped, sending her tumbling backward. As she tried to regain her balance, her left leg kicked the bucket, sending it flying into the air. In a comical twist of fate, the bucket arced gracefully above her before landing squarely on her head, covering her face with soapy water. Usagi sat there in a daze, blinking in surprise, with the bucket still perched awkwardly on her head. The blonde-haired young lady took a deep breath and was on the verge of another episode of tears until Mamoru entered the house. "Hey, everyone, I'm home! And I've brought dinner!" Mamoru called out as he picked up his bags and stepped inside. "Hope you're hungry for sushi!" He placed the takeout bag on the table before moving to the kitchen counter to begin putting away the groceries. Hearing Mamoru's voice, Usagi quickly removed the bucket from her head and wiped her eyes, trying to compose herself before he noticed her predict. She glanced over at the table and saw the delicious sushi, her mood instantly brightening at the sight of her favorite food. "Ahh!! Mamo-chan, you’re a lifesaver!" she exclaimed, her earlier mishap already forgotten as she eagerly made her way past Mamoru from the kitchen and into the lounge towards the table, and pulled up a chair for Mamoru and herself. "Mamo-chan," she asked with a bright smile, "Was the sushi shop busy?"As Usagi waited for Mamoru's response, their cat Luna, with her crescent moon mark glinting in the light, stepped out into the lounge. Her nose twitched, and her whiskers perked up as the smell of seafood wafted through the air, instantly capturing her attention. Curious about what was going on and what smelled so delicious, Luna padded over to where Usagi and Mamoru were sitting, her tail flicking in anticipation. "What's all the fuss about?" she asked, her senses drawn to the aroma of food filling the room. Her gaze shifted to the sopping soapy Usagi, about to open her mouth to give her the usual lecture about tiding up after an accident before someone gets hurt (most likely Usagi) Luna felt perhaps Mamoru might say something instead.

╔══════════════╗ ╚══════════════╝ Mamoru would hear Usagi call to him as he finished putting away the last of the groceries. As he moved to the cupboard to collect table placements, he'd call over his shoulder back to his fiance. "Not any more busy than usual, dear." After collecting the placements for the table, Mamoru would exit the kitchen toward the lounge. "Alright, I think that should be every-- Euuughh..." Mamoru would come to a sudden halt as he took Usagi in for the first time. She was a soppy mess, and soaked head to toe in what appeared to be sudsy water. "Um... Usako?" He'd begin, placing the dishes on the table as he tilted his head. His raven brow perked with concerned curiosity as he folded his arms. "Why exactly are you..." It was at that point that Mamoru happened to glance over Usagi's shoulder to notice the upturned bucket and mop, sitting in a pool of equally sudsy water. Mamoru sighed, but couldn't help but chuckle. "Ah... now I see", He said, walking around the table and past Usagi toward the mess she had left behind. "Alright... why don't you go ahead and get yourself cleaned up? I'll take care of the mess. Then we can eat." He'd offer a reassuring glance to Luna, before moving to pick up the mop and bucket. His stomach rumbled, catching him slightly off guard. A light blush would dust his face as he rubbed the back of his neck and laughed nervously. "Guess I'm a little hungrier than I thought, hahahaha..."

"AH! Mamo-chan, it's not what it looks like!" Usagi stammered, a blush spreading across her cheeks. "It's exactly what it looks like, you being your usual clumsy self!" Luna commented and noticed the sharp daggered glare from Usagi. The long-haired blonde looked down at her soaked clothes and sighed. "I was just trying to help out by cleaning, but the bucket had other ideas and, well... now I'm a soggy mess eheheheh..."She glanced over at the mop and bucket, still lying in a pool of sudsy water. "I was going to clean it up, I-I promise! But, um, maybe I should go get myself cleaned up first," she added with a sheepish smile, rubbing the back of her head. When Mamoru's stomach rumbled, Usagi couldn’t help but giggle. "Looks like we're both in need of some food. I'll be quick, and then we can finally eat. Just, uh, try not to start without me!" With that, she hurried off to change, grateful that he wasn’t too upset about the mess. Usagi returned to the kitchen a short while later, fresh and dry, her cheeks still slightly pink from her earlier embarrassment. She saw Luna sitting on a chair, her tail flicking contentedly as she watched Mamoru, who was now setting out the last of the dishes. "Gomen ne, Mamo-chan!" Usagi said, sliding into her seat at the table. "I hope you didn’t starve."As they dug into their meal, Usagi glanced over at Mamoru, a warm smile on her face. "Thanks for cleaning up, Mamo-chan! You really are the best."

╔══════════════╗╚══════════════╝ Sailor Moon "AH! Mamo-chan, it's not what it looks like!" Usagi stammered, a blush spreading across her cheeks. The more things changed, the more they seemed to stay the same... and the relationship between Usagi and Luna was one that nearly identical to the way it was when the pair had waltzed their way into his life all those years ago. "It's no problem, really." Mamoru replied sweetly as he started to mop up the soppy water. "Accidents happen, I understand." He flashed a loving, and hopefully reassuring, smile in Usagi's direction. Sailor Moon "Gomen ne, Mamo-chan!" Usagi said, sliding into her seat at the table. "I hope you didn’t starve." Mamoru had just finished cleaning up by the time Usagi returned. As the blonde took her seat at the table, Mamoru would approach her right said and say "mondai nai, Usako", before placing a gentle kiss on her cheek. He'd then take his seat across from Usagi, and begin to serve them both. The spread was a variety of nigiri, as well as mixed vegetable and shrimp tempura. There was also plain white rice, and miso soup for afterward to help settle the meal. Sailor Moon As they dug into their meal, Usagi glanced over at Mamoru, a warm smile on her face. "Thanks for cleaning up, Mamo-chan! You really are the best."Mamoru would dunk a piece of sake nigiri in a light mixture of soy sauce and wasabi, before taking a bite. His bright, blue eyes would find their way to Usagi as she spoke. He'd smile, and swallow before responding. "Of course, dear. Like I said before, it's really no problem." He'd finish off the piece of sushi, before moving to a piece of maguro on his plate. "How's your dinner? I hope everything is tasing ok."

"But I’m kinda sleepy now..."As she began rinsing off the dishes, she glanced over at Mamoru with a sleepy smile. "Ano ne, Mamo-chan, do you want to watch something on television? I promise I’ll stay awake long enough to enjoy it... I think!"Usagi stumbled to the remote and turned on the television, her eyes widening in surprise when she saw what was playing. "E-Eh?! I don't believe it!"On the screen, a gritty action movie was unfolding. The scene showed three cops—each with a distinct and bold personality—pursuing a notorious criminal through a neon-lit cityscape. The camera zoomed in on the three lead actors: Seiya, Taiki, and Yaten, playing their roles with intense seriousness. Seiya was on screen, dramatically yelling into his radio while chasing a suspect through a dark alley. Taiki was in the middle of a high-speed car chase, expertly maneuvering the vehicle with a determined look. Yaten, meanwhile, was interrogating a suspect in a dimly lit room, his sharp eyes never leaving the man across the table. Usagi giggled. "I remember this being filmed! It’s so funny seeing them in these tough cop roles…"As soon as she said that, Usagi’s eyes widened, and she quickly covered her mouth "B-Baka Usagi! This was during Mamo-chan's disappearance!" Panic set in as she realized her slip, and she swiftly turned off the television, trying to recover from the awkward moment, while Luna shot another glare at Usagi like she should have known better. "A-Ah, anyway! On second thought… maybe we could do something a little romantic, like stargazing? The sky is really pretty tonight, and there’s a full moon out too!" she suggested, clasping her hands together with hopeful eyes that twinkled like the stars.Zoning out, Usagi's mind drifted back to her previous thought and Mamoru’s voice at any moment would sound muffled. It had been three years since the battle against Galaxia and Chaos. For a moment, a shadow crossed her face as she frowned, lost in thought about that challenging time, especially with Mamoru not present during that difficult time. She recalled her friends, their bravery, and how far everyone had come since then. Her thoughts turned to Princess Kakyuu and the Starlights, and she wondered if she would ever see them again. The nostalgia and curiosity lingered briefly before she snapped back to reality, her attention shifting to Mamoru's voice as he continued speaking. She refocused on the present, eager to catch the end of their conversation and enjoy the moment with him.

╔══════════════╗╚══════════════╝ Mamoru was happy with how much Usagi seemed to enjoy what he brought home. Her smile always brightened his day, no matter how difficult it might have been. When Usagi offered to clean up, he'd offer a nod. He still would, however, carry his own dishes to the sink. Setting them down, he'd move back to the table and start to clean the rest of it off. "Ano ne, Mamo-chan, do you want to watch something on television? I promise I’ll stay awake long enough to enjoy it... I think!" Mamoru considered this offer. He had a lot of studying to do to prepare for finals... but he supposed he could put it off for just a bit longer. It wasn't likely that Usagi would be awake much longer anyway, and it had been sometime since they just found the time to sit together. "Sounds like fun. You go ahead and pick something, and I'll make some popcorn. How does that sound?" Mamoru would return to the kitchen to prepare some popcorn. He debated whether or not he wanted to microwave it or make it over the stove, but ultimately decided to go the easier route. Placing the popcorn bag into the microwave and setting the timer, he'd then rummage through a cabinet. "Now where's that bowl... ah! Bingo!" He'd pull the large, yellow bowl and placing it on the countertop as he waited for the popcorn to pop. When he had finished preparing the snack, Mamoru would enter the living room "Did somebody order popcorn? I picked up a box of this "movie theatre" butter flavor. You can tell me if you think it's any good--" He'd walk in just in time to catch Usagi turning off the TV with haste, but not to catch what it was that had been on. He tilted his head inquisitively. "Hey, is everything alright?""A-Ah, anyway! On second thought… maybe we could do something a little romantic, like stargazing? The sky is really pretty tonight, and there’s a full moon out too!"Mamoru was still a little confused... of course it's possible she simply had changed her mind, but something felt off. Why had she turned the television off so quickly? Why was she so frazzled? Had something spooked her? He opened his mouth to protest, until he found himself lost in those eyes... those eyes that always seemed to capture him. He smiled, and decided to let it go... for now. "Well, alright. Since you insist. It is a pretty nice night, and it's been a while since we've made proper use of the balcony." Mamoru would walk toward the sliding door to the balcony, flipping a piece of popcorn into his mouth. "Mmmh... this is pretty good. I'm sure you'll love it..." He'd notice that Usagi seemed a bit spaced out, and suddenly felt concerned again. His brows furrowed. "Usako?" Mamoru asked. "Is everything alright?"

"Well, alright. Since you insist. It is a pretty nice night, and it's been a while since we've made proper use of the balcony."The blonde stared at him blankly for a moment, Usagi wondered if Mamoru had seen the television... but he didn't seemed to react the way Usagi had thought. Thankfully, Usagi was saved in an explination that could potentually have lead to Mamoru possibly being jealous. Usagi knew she needed to try her best to blank out those details of what went on - and of course, the kiss she had recieved from Seiya from a few years ago. Usagi watched as Mamoru flipped a piece of popcorn into his mouth. "Mmmh... this is pretty good. I'm sure you'll love it..."
He'd notice that Usagi seemed a bit spaced out, and suddenly felt concerned again. His brows furrowed. "Usako?" Mamoru asked. "Is everything alright?""Hm? Ah--ahahaha! I-it’s nothing, Mamo-chan!" Usagi said, her voice bright but slightly strained. She took a deep breath and tried to focus on the evening’s activities. "I-I just thought it would be nice to have a change of pace tonight. You see...the televison shows can wait, and I love spending time with you like this."She glanced up at him, her eyes softening. "Really, everything’s fine. It’s just... sometimes I get overwhelmed, and I forget to enjoy the simple things. Tonight felt like a good opportunity to do that."Usagi smiled warmly, reaching out to take his hand. "Let’s not worry about anything else right now. The stars are beautiful, and I’m really glad we’re doing this together. We can maybe make a wish if we see a shooting star? Hopefully... we have a better outcome this time!" She added, refering to the shooting stars last time led to Galaxia. As the two of them entered onto the balcony while they had their conversation, Luna watched them both from inside, she didn't want to bother them, however, Luna had caught sight of what was playing on the televison and thought to herself. "That's strange, this isn't one of Usagi's DVD's... this is playing on television. I wonder why their movies are playing at this time of night?" She pondered to herself. Usagi stood on the balcony next to Mamoru and closed the sliding door behind her, the night air crisp and refreshing as she looked up at the star-studded sky. The city lights below were a soft hum against the backdrop of the expansive cosmos. As she took in the tranquility of the evening, the sky suddenly erupted into a spectacular display. The first shooting star streaked across the sky, its blue trail burning brightly for a moment before vanishing. Usagi’s eyes widened in awe as she noticed that it was quickly followed by another, then another, each one carving its own distinct path. "AH! Look! look! Mamo-chan! There's one of them!" Not knowing that exact star belonged to another Princess, an essence of the unknowns power being returned to her. In total, fifteen shooting stars blazed across the night, each moving in a different direction. After that first one shot accross the sky, others seemed to follow. What made the scene even more mesmerizing was how each meteor seemed to be heading towards a specific spot on the Earth. Their paths crisscrossed and diverged as though each one had a unique destination, creating a celestial choreography that was both intricate and beautiful. Usagi’s gaze followed the trails as they wove through the sky, imagining the distant places each shooting star might be aiming for. Some streaked towards the distant horizon, while others seemed to head directly towards her neighborhood, as if the stars had personal messages for the world below. "Pretty..." she whispered quietly. It was different to the last metor shower they had seen, and this one didn't seem as aggressive as the last lot a few years ago. The shooting stars would sure enough make the other Sailor Senshi on alert, if they had seen this. The sight filled her with a sense of wonder and possibility. Each star’s journey felt like a silent message, a reminder of the vastness of the universe and the endless potential for dreams and hopes. As the last shooting star faded into the night, Usagi stood there, captivated and contemplative, feeling as though the universe had shared a secret with her, one filled with promise and magic. "I... wonder where they are going...?" Turning to face him, curious if he had thought of anything in partular at the time, or was he just enjoying the night sky. "Ano ne, Mamo-chan, did... you make a wish?" Usagi asked. Maybe his wish was to stay on earth and be there for Usagi, he most likely would be thinking back to a few years ago.

╔══════════════╗╚══════════════╝ Mamoru still couldn't quite shake the feeling that something had put Usagi on edge, but he quietly dismissed it. He trusted that, whatever it was, she would share with him if it was really important. Mamoru expression would soften, and a smile would make its way across his lips "I love spending time like this with you as well, Usako...", he replied gently. As the pair stepped out onto the balcony, he'd laugh at Usagi's reference about the last time they had done star watching together. "Haha... yeah, one can only hope."As their gaze turned toward toward the night sky, Mamoru would wrap an arm loosely about Usagi's back. When the stars started their celestial display, Mamoru's eyes would widen and he would gasp. It was so beautiful, ethereal, even. "Amazing...", the earth prince murmured under his breath, a wide smile crossing his lips as he looked to Usagi. The way her eyes sparkled as she beheld the meteor shower made his heart skip a beat. To him, she was perfect. Ever since he had first laid eyes on her, how found himself captivated. Call it fate, destiny, whatever you will-- it didn't matter. He chose to believe, in spite of whoever they might have been in another lifetime, that he would have chosen her. He would always have chosen her. "Hm?", Mamoru found himself snapped out of his day dreaming at Usagi's question, suddenly finding that he had stopped paying attention to the shower for what must have been several moments now. "Oh! I... I'm not sure." When she asked if he made a wish, he'd contemplate the question for a moment. He had not thought to think of one in the moment, but there was always one wish that forever remained in his heart; he supposed that it would have been good enough. "I have", he cooed, smiling to her. "I wish that you and I will be happy, always." As he spoke these words, he'd turn to her. One arm remained on her waist, as the other hand moved to brush a stray lock of blonde hair from her face. He'd cup her face gingerly, brushing it tenderly with his thumb as he met her gaze. "I love you, Usagi", he said. "I love you in every lifetime. To the moon, and beyond."

Usagi's heart fluttered at Mamoru's words, her cheeks flushing slightly as she smiled up at him. She couldn't help but feel warmth fill her chest at how tenderly he spoke, how gentle his touch was as he brushed her hair from her face. His words, so full of love, made her heart skip a beat, and she felt like she could stay in this moment forever. "Always, Mamo-chan~" she whispered softly, her voice filled with the same affection. She leaned into his touch, her eyes shimmering as she gazed up at him. "I love you too, with all my heart... no matter where, no matter when" She giggled lightly, her gaze turning back to the stars as she watched the meteor shower with him, the beauty of the sky only adding to the magic of the moment. 'To the moon... and beyond, always'She nestled closer to him, her heart feeling so full as she held onto the warmth of his embrace. "I'm so happy to be here with you..." she added, her voice soft and content as she looked up at him once more, her eyes filled with love. The two watched a few shooting stars together, their streaks falling from the sky. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary; they were simply content, enjoying another peaceful night—perhaps their last night. "Hey, Mamo-chan...?" Usagi's voice trailed off as she gazed at him, her curiosity getting the better of her. "If you were to ever visit somewhere in another country, where would you go?" She paused, wondering what his answer might be. "I-I mean, you've traveled so much more than I have... I was just wondering where the best place would be... I mean... you know..." Her fingers nervously twirled together as she mumbled, "Our honeymoon..."
