In her spiritual journey of 'finding herself', eventually she came across a teepee in the middle of the forest.

Obviously human-made, the mare was a little weary of nearing it at first, so she hung back to observe. Expecting a human or a large Soquili to inhabit the space, she was surprised to find that it instead was the home to a colony of small creatures - bunnies, squirrels, birds - the like. They appeared to each have little tasks that they were taking care of, in order to keep the teepee and it's surroundings in tip-top shape, and she couldn't help but think it was just absolutely the cutest thing she'd ever seen. One of the squirrels was busy digging little holes in the dirt, while another was following closely behind with little seeds (of what she was unsure) and dropping the seeds into the holes as they were made. Another squirrel came up moments after, with a leaf folded together by a blade of grass, and dumped what Daisy could only assume was water on top of the little seed.

A small collection of birds were gathering sticks and flower petals, and dropping them into a pile, where another small group of squirrels were stringing everything together to make little wreaths and garland that they hung up on the sides of the teepee. She noticed that as they worked, they sat upon little toadstool mushrooms, and used the larger ones to make a chain of passing along the decor.

It was obvious to Daisy that the little creatures loved this teepee very much, and the area was well taken care of; they were a little community, all working together to get ready for the late spring/early summer festivities, and whatever those were - well, Daisy instantly wanted to be a part of it all.

It had been a few years now, since that strange conversation with her father had taken place. He had told her to look inside herself for the truth and blah, blah, blah - other nonsense about how no one really knows what the proper way to live their life was - and how in order for her to find her true calling, she'd have to go and find it. He talked about having love and losing it, finding love - not romantic - in becoming a father, and loving who he was simply because she and her brothers existed. Boone had lived a life of solitude, and didn't necessarily regret it, and so his advice did not fall on deaf ears.

The only problem was, Daisy wasn't sure what she wanted. No romance, no kids - just herself, for now. Was that enough? It had been enough up until this point, but was she living a lie? She didn't know the answer to that question, and no matter how loud her heart sang for the answer, she just couldn't find it.

But these little creatures seemed to have it all figured out. A simple, quiet life in the middle of the forest, under the protection of a human-made teepee that had long since been abandoned by it's maker. They were farming, decorating, building, and just, well, living. A tinge of jealousy hit her heart in that moment, as her green eyes continued to watch their activities for the day. They made life seem so....simple. She wondered if any of these little creatures ever thought about what life was like for Soquili like herself, and if they ever struggled with anxiety and thoughts of what else was out there.

Even if it was only for a day, Daisy wanted to live like this. A reminder of the past - and a life long forgotten.

"Hello," she began, stepping out from behind the shrubs she had been hiding within. "is it alright if I join you all? I could reach the highest parts of the teepee!" Her voice rang out eagerly, and she hoped it hadn't come off too strong, but the little creatures beneath her hooves seemed to react kindly to her presence. One of the birds that had been perched atop the teepee had flittered it's way over to her, and appeared to nod it's little head, as it plucked a strand of her mane and flew back over to the teepee.

She'd take that as a yes, then.

"Oh my goodness, what is THAT?" Daisy exclaimed, as she emerged from the brush and stood near enough to the teepee to be able to see inside. In the middle of all of the cloth stood a 4-foot garden gnome, and it was positioned in a way that Daisy felt like this - whatever it was - was the protector of this little collection of creatures, and she dare not disturb it. "Aren't you adorable," she giggled, and took a flower from the beak of a nearby bird, placing it on top of the gnome's hat.

This was temporary, she knew that...but this was everything, right now.
