Monique sighed at the situation, though she had to admit that the sort of operating style that served her posse well didn't exactly translate to a world this big. Still, what was she going to do? She was an oddity whose existence depended on Snagem. If she had a birth certificate, her age would be negative. And it wasn't like she wasn't spending her time between missions and Snagem projects reading up just to figure out what the world was like. She was lucky to be here in the first place.

She could see why the other Snagems were upset. The team had a reputation and experienced people, and there was something of a humiliation in a lack of recognition of their own experience. It was kind of like Monique going to King Faba's Royal Guard minus the whole betrayal/the king is evil part.

Still, the sour mood would have been enough to make a peanut butter sandwich taste bad. The Five-Alarm Sandwich was pleasant and rather spicy, but it was rather hard to actually enjoy with Sub having a five-alarm meltdown.

Out of anyone, Sol might've been the most nonplussed about the news Director Clavell had just delivered. He'd suspected the reason they'd been sent to Mesagoza from the moment the city was mentioned, and the director's confirmation about being an 'addition to their ranks' was enough to tell him his guess had been a safe one. "I'm afraid we weren't. We were simply told to come to Mesagoza and then here, and that it our arrival was already known of. Details beyond that were sparse from my knowledge." He couldn't say he was the happiest about the team's rockier than expected status within the Indigo Alliance, but he could understand where they were coming from. Even sellswords did well to follow a general code of conduct in their dealings.

Cera, however, wasn't so nonplussed at this and floated back up from her seated position immediately. "Wait, what do you mean, addition!?" The shout would ring in everyone's minds for a moment before she caught herself, took a breath, and tried to continue in a slightly calmer tone. "You. You seriously don't expect me to wear one of those uniforms, do you? 'Cause I'm also not about to just stay in a ball like almost every other Pokemon with the team. Oh, and I thought going off to the Ranger School was an awkward experience..."

"At least you don't have to hide what you are?" Aden asked, mentally picturing Cera in a smaller version of the uniforms and trying his best to avoid laughing. Despite this, Cera still picked up on it and glared at him. "...erm. I'm just saying it'll probably be less awkward than rolling up to Almia like 'how do you do fellow people' or something. Not exactly a fan of being lumped into something I had no part in, though. Or the awkwardness of actually being in a school setting."

"To be fair, Agate didn't have much in place for children at the time, but it did mean more interesting field trips..." Sol added.

Amaranth raised an eyebrow, her feelings more mixed than the others concerning the news. On one hand, she also wasn't keen on being lumped into others' actions and being enrolled against her will. On the other, it did mean she wouldn't have to feel weird about perusing the library everyone went through on the way here. She could see herself spending a lot of time there. She kept silent given some of the others' reactions, though, not wanting to add to them and opting to listen to the director's explanations.

---

Later, at the cafeteria...

"For what it's worth," Sol chimed in after finishing a bite of his sandwich. Though he'd gone for their supposed five-alarm sandwich, he couldn't help noting that it was less spicy than he'd hoped for. Not this was anything new to him. "The living arrangements here were pretty good the first time I was here. I'd imagine they're still good now. And besides, I don't think they'd really go for housing all of you in Los Platos even if it's nearby and I did have the space."

"Have the space- ...do you have a house there or...?" This time, it seemed to be Amaranth's turn to have her curiosity piqued.

"...er. Long story," Sol added, clearing his throat. "Point is, the arrangements won't be as good as what we have back at HQ. But I haven't known the academy to skimp on them before and I doubt they've skimped on them now. They're also not as strict about the dress code as you'd think."

"I still don't like them." Though Cera was nibbling at half a sandwich, telepathy wasn't stopped by such trivial things as eating. "And I'm not wearing some toddler-sized version of one. Or a teen-sized one. Or an adult-sized one. Or one at all, really."

"Sorry, not our choice to make, and for some reason, you're also one of the required attendees. Still, it's only the tops and bottoms they seem to care about. Anything else's fair game from what the director said, so it seems like things have become a little more lax. Wonder if the higher hybrid attendance is a factor."

"Uh, maybe don't say that, Sub?" Aden asked at Sub's last complaint. "I've lost count of how many times dad or I've said or asked something amounting to that and learning that it can, in fact, get worse and usually does. Still, I guess the vacation still gets to go on? Just... a lot longer now. And with homework. At least we'll probably get to explore a lot more of the region."

"I mean, we intended for the trip to be for a while anyway, so we weren't really on a time crunch... still, it'd be good to have more intimate knowledge of the region again." By now, Sol had finished the sandwich, convinced he could make a spicier one in his sleep. "At least see what's changed. Maybe rethink the Pokemon I'm using for a while, too. If we're going to be students for a while, I could stand or building up more of the new guard."

"I guess I'm fine with it?" Amaranth asked afterward. "I was going to try and check their library more anyways, but if we have free access to it... maybe I can find even more out about these things I keep ending up with."

Cera hadn't said anything else, but she did mirror Sub's more exaggerated groan and slide back in the seat. Or, in her case, lay her back on the table with an agitated flick of her tail.

Given the move to the cafeteria, already on his 7th plate of sandwiches, Deo was relishing the thought of him possibly taking a hybrid based class on law and justice. He indeed was very excited to take a course and even get a taste of culture and tradition in this land. "I don't know why we are even discussing why? I think it is a chance to take up a chance on this new land. Also, it is better than ending up with a fine or in the slammer for our 'mistake' in the other town!" Deo would happily say while munching the last of his 7th plate.

With the introductions out of the way, the bombshell was dropped as to why we were actually here. There was a unanimous mental record scratched between a good number of us. Doc couldn't help but to shove his glasses up a bit, a bit perplexed as to how he got caught up in this. Freth, Tristen, and I couldn't help but to give flat "What?"

Later in the cafeteria, I was sitting at the table, my head braced against my arm on the table. I was sitting there staring down what I had to admit was otherwise a nice looking club sandwich. Unfortunately, I...at this point didn't have too much of an appetite, for once again only being validated as to why vacations suck extremely. "I did not go through twelve years of school back at home alongside dealing with gym leader apprenticeship just for me to go back out of the blue, let alone to one in a foreign region."

"I am questioning just how can a university such as this can actually teach a mercenary group to be a more cohesive, functional group."
the hunter spoke up within the reaches of Freth's mind. "This feels well out of the purview of what would be otherwise a scholarly academy."

"Asking the real questions here." Freth stated, where to everyone else seems like a random statement unless they knew about her resident.

"I have to admit, I am curious how schools like this actually work." Tristen said. "I mean, it should be neat, right? Lots of students come here. Plenty my age too..." Tristen never being part of schooling like this sparked a curiosity that he didn't realize until now he wanted to experience. Before now, he was effectively home-schooled at the headquarters.

"Hoo, at least someone is looking forward to this." Doc Owl spoke before partaking in a sandwich of his own. Nearby, Orderly was powering down a sandwich to himself, and Doc's new Litten was on the table feasting on a large piece of sandwich meat on a plate.

"Its easy for you to say, Doc." I spoke. "You're a non-combatant in all of this. You could walk out of the university right now and no one could stop you."

"True, but I'm staying around anyways because they've asked me to assist with the medical facility here on campus. Apparently...their staff is in need of a...little shoring up, or at least that is what was described and with my experience and credentials validated, they were quick to ask. I'll see to the facility when classes for you all start. Besides, I did warn you about this, if I recall a while back. About how it will take just one thing to upset the wrong people? That just happened only last night and it was a case of mistaken identity. One anomalous Shadow Starmie, and now the whole lot of you are paranoid of any Pokemon you see, never mind the fact that we are in a whole other region where there are Pokemon none of you have ever seen before." The statement forced a side glance to Larrimore by Freth and I in particular. "Frankly, this group has gotten off light with all considered."

"Blast it, things were so freakin' simpler before." I uttered.

"You were alone before." Doc interjected. "Then you lot all got together and made a lot of noise and brought into light a lot of the worlds flaws, The damage resulting of a lot of it, admittedly, is to no fault of your own as it was based on what you were facing against, but there is that considerable sum which did place eyes on you."

"There's really no arguing it, Blizzard." Freth spoke up. "At least they're not asking you to take any battling courses or anything of that sort. That would be redundant in yours or, let's be honest, anyone else's position here. Just get done with whatever they ask and we'll be back at the headquarters in no time." She would then start biting down in a sandwich of her own.

Requiem of Whyspers

Fashionable Shapeshifter

PostPosted: Sat May 06, 2023 9:11 pm
When director Clavell welcomed the Snagems, two jaws dropped as Odd and Clare were immediately caught off guard. "I knew it! Not doing this! I spent too many years in the Unovan school system being abused and bullied for anything and everything to do it again 20 years later." Wren announced loudly, proceeding to walk out of the school and back into the city without a second thought. He'd head off into town and begin exploring the city.

Neither Odd nor Clare had anything to say at first but by the time the Snagems had gathered in the cafeteria, Odd sat with a simple peanut butter sandwich in front of him, questioning things. "This might not be all bad... I never got to go to school when I was a kid... The nuns taught me all the basics I needed and Father Clancy helped me with books for the harder stuff..." He admitted.

Clare was happily munching on a potato salad sandwich of their own. "I don't mind, either. I don't know much about this world at all. Maybe going to school will be good for me?" They reasoned. "But I'm not wearing this hideous uniform... I did hear one or two of the students mentioning a 'fashion club' on the way here, though. I wonder how I can join that?"

"Did Wren seriously just up and leave?" Odd finally asked, looking around the cafeteria and seeing no sign of the Grass channeler. "Jeez... I get he's an old guy but is it really that bad?"

"I heard him say it was something about the 'Unovan school system' and bullying when he was there?" Clare replied, taking another bite of their sandwich. "I dunno what he meant but I can guess he means he got picked on a lot as a kid and he blames the school he went to?"

"Ugh... A middle-aged man dealing with childhood trauma like that? You'd think he'd know how to act like an adult at his age..." Odd replied, his eyes roaming over the sandwich he hadn't touched yet.

"Don't be too hard on him. I guess he never had anyone to talk to about it?" Clare responded after swallowing the last mouthful of their sandwich.

The pair had been listening to Sol speaking with Aden and Cera while they conversed and Odd cocked his head to the side. "You really should tell us more about your past someday, especially since we're in your home region. I'm curious if we should be looking out for the results of stupid stuff you did in your school days." The Ghost channeler really didn't have much room to make such comments if one wanted to point that out. His own comments about his lack of formal schooling was probably the most he had ever said about it to anyone within the team up to now

Brian didn't seem too off-put by Clavell's reactions to their greetings, though he had to wonder just what the man's motives were. Amber, on the other hand, was naturally suspicious of everyone, at first, and her instincts were telling her this wasn't something she wanted any part of. And as soon as the older man said they would make 'an excellent addition to our ranks,' Sorry, did he seriously just suggest they would be going to the Academy? As students? Here, who knows how far away from home?

While the Froslass hybrid was a bit outraged that the Academy's director would assume they would go along with this, she decided it would be better to wait until the Snagems were alone before voicing her opinion. Looking across at Brian, she saw that he had a thoughtful look on his face, and judging by that, she knew he was planning to stay. Anything to further his career as a Pokemon breeder. She, on the other hand, hated school, and had no desire whatsoever to return.

------------------------

Once they were escorted to the cafeteria, Amber sat with her teammates in silence as she tried to sort out her jumbled thoughts. This wasn't going at all the way they'd hoped, she thought. Then again, nothing Snagem did ever went according to plan, especially when it came to 'vacations.' She'd never had a vacation go smoothly before, even before joining Snagem, so why should they go without a hitch now?

"If the director thinks he can keep us all prisoner here, he's sorely mistaken," she said, her voice dark. "I'm heading out to explore as soon as we're--" Wren's words about not staying due to bullying in his past caught her attention, and she got up to follow him. "Wait, I'll come with you!" she called, trying to catch up to him.

----------------------

Brian ate his sandwich in partial silence, mulling over the information they'd been told. Even if most of the team decided to leave, he planned to stay. He needed to get as much information as he could to help his career as a Pokemon Breeder, and what better place to do that than right here at the Academy? He had a feeling Amber wasn't going to stay, and his hunch was proven correct when the female hybrid followed Wren out of the building.

He looked over a brochure he'd picked up outside the school, wanting to see what all they had to offer, and something caught his attention. "Sub, there's mention of something called a Treasure Hunt in this brochure," he said, passing the information packet over to the leader. He didn't know if the information would be of any use, but if so, then why not let the others know about it?

Crystal raised an eyebrow as she listened to Sub’s ranting, otherwise simply staring at the leader as she sat on her own hardlight chair. She probably had less qualms with their current situation than the others, but she had been fairly transient in her travels previously. A new living space was nothing new to her, as long as she knew there’d be a home base to go back to eventually. Then again, she was the furthest removed from any time of a formal teaching environment of Snagem, hands down. It might as well have been a new experience for her. Not that she couldn’t understand some people’s reactions to going back to school.

With a sigh, she shook her head, looking at Sub. “Maybe it might be a good idea to take a step back from the macro for once,” the hybrid quipped, hands on her lap. “Instead of barreling through like a Tauros in a china shop without a care in the world in regards to knowing a region, this will actually let us learn about Paldea at the very least, and learn about her flora and fauna.” With a tilt of her head, she closed her eyes with a grin, leaving back slightly. “I, for one, am excited to have unfettered access to that gigantic library. And pursuing our own studies? If I remember right, it is supposed to be closer to a Montessori style of school?” The hybrid would take a glance over to Darts if he was in the room, wondering how the dragon disciple was taking this?

Aile, on the other hand, was more withdrawn once they entered the cafeteria, grabbing a sandwich and nibbling on it as everyone else spoke, sitting her chair next to the wall. She wasn’t exactly sure if she wanted to stay here or not, at least in the school. She still wanted to visit the apparent desert here, and maybe see what other Pokémon might be around that would catch her eye. But school? Eh… Disregarding the fact that her first voyage through school wasn’t chosen at all by her, with everything down to when her classes were dictated by her mother(or at least so she thought), she wasn’t sure if she wanted to go through this again. She was never that much of an academic student, or at least enjoyed that side of it. Any PE periods, or when she could practice her archery growing up, those were her favorites, where she could just cut loose. With how things were now, with the group here representing Snagem, she wasn’t sure if she wanted that pressure(imagined or not) of having to be the respectable one. Also, in case any family caught wind of where she was because of this school stuff, she didn’t want to be around if they showed up, being effectively a stone’s throw away next door. But, with all the others that have bailed or were bailing, she wasn’t sure if she’d have a choice. s**t.

Reno would roll his eyes as he took a seat beside Sub, staring towards the man with a mildly incredulous look in his eyes. "Crazy, isn't it? I advocate for a lot less cowboy antics, nobody listens, and here we are." Reno theatrically told their leader, kicking his chair back and leaning it against the wall as he continued. "Maybe I should change my name to Cassandra? I called this stuff from a mile off and I called our one runaway before she could actually escape. But nope, gotta handle your pouting before we handle a minor desertion, right Sub?"

Beau would scoff at Reno's finishing line. "She was already running for it before anyone could notice anything besides Clavell explaining things to us. We never had a chance." The Vivillon hybrid would be munching on a few tortilla chips he had scrounged from the cafeteria, savoring the additional salt he had added to the chips. It was so good, all he needed was to figure out a good way to add sweetness to it and it would be perfect. "I'm just amazed at how quickly she decided she would be getting out of here. Only took five seconds into Clavell's explanation before she disappeared."

An aggressive, impotent grumble would sound as Leslie slammed a plate of food onto the table. "Aria gets to run away but I don't!? What did I do to deserve this treatment?" The indignant bark would be pointed towards Reno, Leslie and her small pink Pokemon jabbing towards the psychic.

"You literally ran away from home with your sister to join Snagem. I don't know when your schooling stopped but if I'm getting the opportunity to get you some schooling, you are gonna get it." Reno shot back, leveling a non-plussed gaze towards the angered girl and Pokemon. "Plus, I'm sure that Aira will be able to survive. She had some sort of plan for most of her time here. That or we are about to see one photogenic episode of Cops."

"Reno? Do me a favor..." Sub began to say before turning in his seat to face the Psychic Channeler before delivering a swift kick to the leg of the chair he was seated on. "..shut up." Content in Reno being discarded onto the floor he turned back to the group. "Regardless of how I or any of us feel about this it looks like there is no backing out of it unless we want to go back to being true vigilantes, criminals. Personally I'm enjoying our semi-legal status as the contracts are lucrative. Money without all the hassle of running from the cops. With that said I do need some of you to volunteer to take classes but it looks like just from your reactions we have enough to meet the alliance's demands. So that's one less thing to worry about." Sub said, turning back in his seat and taking a bite of his sandwich finally. He'd speak again after swallowing.

"Tomorrow we report for our first day at the academy, seven in the morning, sharp. For the time being we are being provided accommodations at a hotel in the city for the night. Tomorrow those attending the academy will be given a dorm room as for those who don't want to participate you're free to either explore Paldea or return to HQ, the choice is yours." He explained, taking one more bite before standing up and looking at his SNAG. It was just a little bit past two.

"I'm going to explore Mesagoza, I suggest you guys do the same. Or maybe the academy, Clavell said we're free to. When you're done for the night you'll find the info for our hotel on your SNAG." With that sat he looked to Sol. "You could give some tours if you want." He told the hybrid before walking towards the door. "Welcome to Paldea!" Sub said sarcastically and with a dismissive wave of his hand before exiting.

[The Team Mission is technically over at this point and rewards will be posted. You may post in this thread freely to have your characters explore Mesagoza and do not have to wait for myself or another admin to respond. The next Team Mission will involve our time as students at the academy.]

I couldn't help but snicker at Sub's treatment of Reno, but I tried to keep it down for both their sakes. That said, Reno wasn't wrong to speak up about all of this. If he was telling the truth, that is. I didn't recall him ever bringing this stuff up before, but I tended to follow Sub's orders more than Reno's. If anything, it might have been a private conversation between the two Snagem leaders some time ago.

"If Sub's agreeing to this setup, why does he sound so annoyed?" Keiko asked, pointing out the duality in Sub's attitude toward the team's assignment from the Indigo Alliance.

"You can see the sense in something and still hate it," Absinthe scoffed. "Just like you can accept that doing something will set you up for life but that the same time know that it'll bore you to tears while you're doing it." Abby sulked at that, which made me think she was referring to something in her past before she stood up. "I'mma look around the place. We can talk along the way," she added while looking to me, as if expecting me to join her.

I responded by gently shaking my head and putting an arm around Keiko's waist. She responded gratefully by leaning into me. "I'm spending the rest of the day with my wife. You can show me around in the morning."

Absinthe shrugged at that display. "Your call," Abby huffed before walking off. Keiko and I headed out of the cafeteria and left the school, spending the rest of the day in Mesagoza.

"Chances are, we wouldn't have ended up imprisoned for the... transgressions against Ferdinand," Sol spoke up in response to Deo's remarks on the subject. "The status we have's certainly a factor in our favor, and much as this setback isn't the best circumstance, I have to agree with Sub that it's largely been a net positive and made for far less headaches. Besides, once you get past the exotic, forbidden allure of committing a crime or three, some of them are more mundane than you'd think."

"Odd's got a point, too. If the academy's one of your old stomping grounds, there's gotta be some reckless things you've done," Aden added. "Besides, you were pretty quick to have Cera tag along after that one time you took me along for one of your jobs-"

"Right, the Treasure Hunt, you were asking about that, Brian?" Keen on shifting right out of the topic Aden was about to bring up, Sol latched to the first thing that popped up. "It's a part of the school style, the academy being so big on self-exploration and learning. Each year, they send most of the student body off to explore the region and learn about the region and themselves to find what they treasure most. Though, many still opt to attend the academy classes all the same. Not a lot in the way of wrong answers given the goal's as freeform as the methods."

As Sol kept talking, Cera looked over to Aden and opted to make her telepathy a bit more private for the moment.

"...guess that whole incident still bugs him. Not that I'm surprised, it was pretty bad."

"Ack- uh, I guess? Things did kinda suck for a bit, but I bounced back pretty easily from it. Plus I was probably like 4 back then... and he kinda dodged the first bit even faster." Aden still wasn't the most used to resorting to it, but he did his best not to look like anything was going on.

"...anyways! We still have most of the day ahead of us. So I think our best recourse is what Sub just suggested. When in Paldea and all that. There's even more around Mesagoza than the port. I wouldn't mind exploring the city proper, so if anyone wants a more guided tour, I'd be happy to provide it. Or, explore the city and academy at your leisure, the people here wouldn't have it any other way. While it'd be safer to have a few not at the academy or the region, I do hope you all give things a fair shake. I'll be at the library for a bit either way if anyone wants to regroup there."

As Sol got up and left the cafeteria himself, Amaranth looked over for a moment and shrugged. "Don't know about the tour, but the library's still tempting..." She said to herself, still in her seat for the moment as she decided on what she wanted to do here.

"I... fine, if I have to be here, I'm at least exploring the academy more."

"What about them?" Aden asked, pointing to the Pokemon sitting nearby and trying to eat what bits remained of the sandwich. "Shouldn't you at least put them in a Pokeball for now?"

"I'll do that after I'm done, they can deal with a crying olive- no no no, I didn't mean you, shh." True to form, the Pokemon was about to be a little upset at Cera's tone until it softened again, carried out by the Mew as she floated out of the cafeteria herself.

"Right... guess I can explore the city or stick around dad for that. Crystal, Reno, what do you two have in mind?" As he saw it, any potential shenanigans with either of them probably wouldn't be heavy on ramifications as the trip to Ultra Space was. Maybe.

Sub wasn’t at all enthused about this, nor was most everyone else. We effectively got suckered into this after the team making the mistake of a Pokémon they knew nothing about. I sighed hard then went ahead and started to down the club sandwich in front of me finally, though I was silent for it. Soon as I finished my sandwich, I leaned back in my chair. “Bah, I should have just went back to the gym.” I said. “I should have just risked it and went back to the gym. But no, I got worried on a whole bunch of fronts and now I am effectively taking remedial courses because of the mistakes of others.”

“Blizzard, there was no way you would have known this would have turned out the way it did. And on the flip side of the coin, be honest with me. You went back to the gym, could you have parked yourself in that gym and not galivant off somewhere to go save the world? I couldn’t imagine that a gym leader, let alone its apprentice, would have been allowed to do something like what we do now. Maybe some really small stuff by comparison, sure, if it means threat of the gym, but nothing like what we have been dealing with.” Freth said. “Could you have sat back and let others handle it? I asked you something like this before, if you recall.”

“Go ahead, prove my point, Blizzard.” The hunter spoke up in the reaches of Freth’s mind, although knowing I wasn’t going to be able to hear it.

I couldn’t give Freth a concrete answer. She did in fact call me out on this a while back and I didn’t have an answer then, either. I said I would try to give people their space, let alone give Freth hers. She didn’t need that much of a ‘White Knight’ as it were, nor did anyone else and I had to trust in others that they didn’t. It’s still no less painfully hard when you know you could more than likely get things handled quickly. Then again…with the going-ons as of late, that wasn’t necessarily true either. Heck, dealing with that Buzzwole was a whole other experience, just to name a more recent example. The hunter, another one. All the more excuses to try to get back to training, but I ended up promising Freth I wouldn’t go so hard as I once did before the hunter’s attack. I sighed, resigning myself to another debate loss all the same.

Freth would then listen up, then looked back at Tristen and I. “We going to get Sol to show us around?” asked.

“Yea.” I said, getting up, though obviously not in the greatest of moods.

“I’m good to go.” Tristen said, polishing off the last of his sandwich. The three of us would also follow Sol off out of the cafeteria.

Doc looked to his Pokémon. A tour of the city was tempting, but right at the moment, he needed to keep an eye on Darts. He shoved his glasses up on his beak once more, giving Darts the occasional, observant side eye to see if he was about to run off in any capacity.

Crystal rested her head on her hand as she listened to the others, debating about what to do with her time off. Her plan probably would have been stalking hanging out with Darts more, but that would have depended on him staying. Which, going by Sub’s comment, he didn’t particularly have to. This would have been the perfect way for him to ditch Doc and her, if he wanted to. As she spun various scenarios in her head, Aden walked up to her to ask about any plans she or Reno might have had. “Uh….” Her eyes darted from Darts, to Doc, then Reno. “I… don’t know? I suppose I’m up for anything. Within this reality, at least.” Yeah no, she didn't need to hear it from Sub again about reality hopping. Just the first time was enough for her.

Aile would use the time to head out after finishing off her sandwich, walking around the facilities for a little bit before deciding to head out to the city proper, deciding to find some sort of Cafe. She wasn’t too terribly interested in exploring the sights currently, actually. Just another quiet place for her to think about things. As well as her SNAG as well when her drink order came up, sipping it as she opened and logged into a long inactive social media account. Just had a need to check in on a couple people, in case they decided a vacation might have been nice that time of year. Hopefully not, but she just wanted to check. And be as far away from them in the region if necessary.

Reno would look towards his two multiversal compatriots, having made the wise decision to simply keep quiet on the ground and observe as the other Snagems scattered to their own locales in the city. They wanted him to give ideas about what to do? "....honestly, exploring the city sounds interesting. That and its way too early in the day for my other idea of raiding the library to see what the local history has been like." Reno said, slowly getting himself back up into a standing position. There was bound to be something of random interest here, either from looking at the city or in the books. Especially given the gigantic crater in the middle of the region, that had to have one heck of a history to it given how gigantic it seemed to be.

Beau would be looking around for a moment after trying to follow along with Sol's conversation, slightly perplexed because it seemed that Leslie was now missing. Giving a shrug, the Vivillon hybrid would simply set off. The girl was on the roster for the school, she'd return from wherever she had gone off to. As for him, he was going to go see if this school had anything in it specifically for hybrids. Given how close this was to Kalos, he wasn't banking on them having anything so specialized but...maybe he wasn't giving this place enough credit and they would turn out to actually have some storied history with hybrids and stuff. He didn't know but he for sure was going to check and find out.

Deo would take the chance to finish his 10th plate of sandwiches and then explore the campus. Seeing the library and the halls were ok. He also took the chance to enroll for Culinary and Criminal Justice. Hoping he could actually get the chance to be better well versed in what his field and his hobby would provide. Seeing the school would remind him on how excited he was to go to school for the first time and the actual sense of belonging he felt. He smiled as he walked through the halls, though being careful not to run into or run over anyone. When he got to the track, he was already feeling the need to run. So he changed in the men's locker room into some running clothes and proceeded to start running laps. It also seemed that he was faster than the normal people there. Was it because he was taller? Was it because he was a hybrid? Was it because he was made super soldier? All of the above? He did not know. Though he would take in the surroundings where he was. He was at peace just doing a gentle jog, where it seemed others would run.
