When Darts ripped the slot machine off the floor a hole was revealed right under it, one that was clearly put there with purpose, the slot machine hiding it. The hole would lead to an underground tunnel, a crudely made one, clearly dug out in secret and just big enough for someone like Darts to squeeze through, a tight fit but manageable. However at this moment neither would have an opportunity to check it out, with Cera on the receiving end of Darts’ confusion fueled Outrage. She needed something to get him to snap out of it and fast.
Behind the counter the Mew would see all kinds of prizes from the TMs she threw to plushies, but one thing would really catch her eye after dodging the slot machine, which would crash into the prize counter and destroy half of it. Upon impact the slot machine had ripped off the ground and forced open a safe that had been under there, its contents intact. What were its contents? Pokedollars, and lots of them, stacks of one thousand note bills even, five stacks of a hundred thousand pokedollars. There were a few stacks of lesser notes as well. Clearly they left behind a little bit of change when they abandoned the Game Corner. Maybe this would be just the thing to snap Darts back to reality.
However, unknown to Cera, on the ceiling just above and behind her a certain Starmie was revealing itself as it dropped its Camouflage and prepared to blast Cera from above with a Power Gem. Hopefully she noticed it time, though not likely with a rampaging Giratina hybrid to deal with. If there was any moment for Darts to snap out of it now would be it as he is in the perfect position to see the would-be assassin. |

Immediately, when she saw the Shadow Mist, Crystal’s immediate response was to bring up her arm to cover her mouth and nose, despite it doing nothing. When the attack washed over her and Apolla, the both of them were filled with a sense of dread and panic, freezing them in place for the moment. Apolla, at the very least, wasn’t quite sure how to react, not even sure if she had felt anything like this as powerfully as now, but Crystal was a different story. This kind of fear was one she recognized, and experienced more than once. It was the fear she felt when she had to fight or flee for her life, and only a couple creatures made her do that. None of them were there at this point, to her knowledge, but the fear still took her back into her memories.
Her inadvertent reverie was thankfully broken by Harleen, adjusting her Snag Machine before grabbing a Pokéball and charging it up in her glove. “Apolla,” she yelled, giving the purple fox cat a notable nudge, “Check in on Deo, please. We’ll be dealing with the lady here.” With a nod, the Espeon took off, running to check on how the giant Luxray hybrid was doing. Crystal threw out the charged ball to Snag the Lunatone, running over to tackle the woman herself afterwards without even waiting to see if the moon rock stayed in the ball.

Clearly pained by the Bonemerang, the Pokémon let loose a massive swirl of wind, which began to toss
Monique, who'd grown up in a massive dome with no wind, was caught off guard by the gale and found herself struggling to stay upright. She noticed that some of the food court's tables and chairs, a few aflame thanks to the Weather Ball from earlier, were being tossed into the air.
She briefly thought about how the old folks in town used to tell her that, when the wind went away, all the trees were weak. They grew quickly but were not strong at all. No wonder, Monique would think to herself later, after in the ordeal.
She needed to continue to weaken the Pokémon and hopefully get it to stop making an absolute mess with all these others about. Bonemerang looked like it was doing its job, so it was probably Fire type. The sheriff considered deploying other moves, Cursed Bone wouldn't have the type advantage, and Flamethrower and Ice Beam wouldn't do much.
"Bonemerang again!" she commanded.

SubonicXP Magmar would begin to pull the Seviper off of Sub and while it was only a matter of time before the Fire type snatched it completely off him it was giving more of a struggle than expected as the Shadow Pokemon was suffering from tunnel vision and wanted nothing more than to take a bite out of Sub. While Magmar bought Sub precious seconds if Seviper was allowed a few more moments it would get its wish. That was when an Energy Ball came flying and blasted it in the head. While it wasn’t enough to really hurt it and for a second it looked like it would turn around to attack Magmar but then Lykas came in with the assist and helped Magmar pull the creature off and take it into his own tentacles, squeezing it tight.. Now free Sub would pull his tatter backpack to his chest and fumble around in it, looking for a scent. “Not much I assume. Now- Anteros!” Sub shouted as his Mimikyu flung itself off the ground and towards the ensnared Seviper, a Shadow Claw ready to rack the Shadow Pokemon as it flailed around in Lykas’s grip. Anteros was fueled completely in revenge for this creature hurting his beloved trainer and no longer could he sit back and do nothing, but the problem was Anteros was not purified and getting this close was trouble. Sub had just plugged a Vivid Scent into his Snag Machine when Anteros made his move but did not have enough time to turn it on and make sure Anteros was in the range of the Immunizer so he did the next best thing and activated the function and threw it towards Lykas, the protective bubble of energy following the Snag Machine in the air, arriving just soon enough to cover Anteros as he slashed the Shadow Seviper with Shadow Claw. Seviper would finally free itself from Lykas’s grip and smack Anteros away with its Poison Tail before turning its attention on Lykas, springing off the ground and ramming into his chest with a powerful Shadow Rush. The Shadow Castform would get smacked by the rotating bone once, glare at Marowak for a split second, and get smacked with it a second time, the Super Effective move doing a nasty chunk of damage to it. With a chilling cry it would conjure up a Hurricane, not only bombarding Marowak with fierce winds but also sending some of the still burning tables and chairs in the general direction of the Snagems, mainly in the direction of Tristen and William. With officer Jenny things looked bleak for her before a concurrent wave of Psychic energy hit the Shadow Zangoose causing to reel and stumble back in pain. Before it had an opportunity to counter attack a Flamethrower engulfed it causing the Shadow Pokemon letting out a pained cry. The Shadow Pokemon however would prove incredibly tenacious as it came charging out of the fire with a Quick Attack, slashing at Espurr along the way and making a u-shape turn before throwing itself into a Shadow Blitz to ram into Firebrand. “Watch out!” Officer Jenny cried out as he Manetric fired off a Thunderbolt but was unsure it would make it in time.
With the Seviper off of Sub's case for the time being, Tristen was about to see if he could go help the officer with the Zangoose. But unfortunately, Tristen would learn just how tenacious this Seviper in particular was as it decided to in turn go on the attack against Lykas. "Look out!" Tristen shouted to Lykas. "Magmar!" Tristen would shout to the fire Pokemon. The Magmar rushed over and got in front of the Seviper in its attack. "Fire Punch!" He'd command. He was going to try to challenge that Shadow Rush attack; Magmar does have a great deal of brute strength behind him, Tristen knew. Was it enough to stop this viper's attack? Hard to say. Tristen would find out, however when Magmar's fist ignited furiously and he lunged out to meet the snake's attack. |

SubonicXP Cera needn't worry about her diversion as a totally unexpected savior stood between her and the Starmie's attack, the very same person that just a second ago was also trying to assault her. The Power Gem was just a split second away from making contact with her when Darts came in like a Galarian soccer player and knocked the energy construct right back at the sender, the Power Gem slamming into Starmie's own gem, the force of its own attack sending it tumbling off the ceiling and falling onto one of the slot machines before hitting the ground. The Mysterious Pokemon wouldn't stay down for long as it righted its self on the ground, its slightly chipped gem now giving off a purple glow, all the slot machines lighting up in response. With a chorus of bells and whistles the Starmie would utilize its Psychic move to control the slot machines and send flying the coins still stored inside of them. Cera and Darts were now presented with a flurry of bullet-like projectiles, this single Starmie proving to be exceptionally powerful
Crossing his arms in front of his face, Darts drops to one knee, turning his crest away to try and minimize the damage from the weighty coins and avoid getting smashed in the eyes through his crest. He had turned his body to shield the Mew he had been attacking a second ago but he was getting absolutely pummeled by the monetary assault. Looking to his side, however, he spies a pile of the rewards that Cera had been tossing around including a pile of some very old and dusty looking TMs. A light bulb clicks on above his head as he struggles down to pick up one of the machines, scrabbles for it and then picks up the disc, turning quickly to slap the thing onto Cera's forehead. Mews could learn any TM, so let's see what kind of a quick learner she was... |

Brian winced at the cry of pain the Shadow Zangoose let out as the Flamethrower hit it head-on. Oh, that hurt his already tender hearing. As he clapped his hand over his right ear, he saw the Zangoose rushing toward Firebrand with a Shadow Blitz. He knew that even with the Immunizer, Firebrand had already taken a hit from the Shadow Ralts, and he couldn't take another hit without risking infection. "Quick, dodge!" he called, and the Fire-type was quick to obey. The attack the Shadow Ralts had landed had hurt, and he had no intention of letting it happen again. "Fire Blast, point blank!" was the next command. Brian doubted this would actually work, but if it did, then perhaps one of the others could Snag the Zangoose to keep it from running amok any longer.

The sinister snake's attack would be thwarted when a Grass Knot was conjured and tripped the snake up giving Magmar the perfect opportunity to slug the Shadow Seviper right across the face. The snake would real in pain, some of its scales now singed as it turned to look at the Magmar that just hit it and let out an angry hiss, shadow energy swelling around it as it prepared to attack.
Shadow Castform was struck by one hit from the Bonemerang before this time blasting it back on its return trip with a Scald. However, while it spared it another hit from the bone it left its self wide open as Lykas's Water Spout slammed into it and then sent it colliding with the Shadow Seviper, putting an end to whatever Shadow move it was getting ready to execute as the pair of Shadow Pokemon were sent flying.
Shadow Zangoose almost made it to Firebrand with its attack before the Fire type could get its Fire Blast off, however Brian would receive assistance via Kazu as his Espurr struck the Zangoose with a Confusion, the Psychic energy causing the Shadow Zangoose to pause for just a brief second though it was plenty of time to allow Firebrand to let loose its Fire Blast right in the face of the Normal type Pokemon, the fire kanji carrying the Zangoose off a ways before exploding.
The trio of Shadow Pokemon however were not going to go down that easy. Alongside the Seviper the now reverted to normal form Castform slowly began to pick its self off the ground, the later much slower to do so as the Shadow Seviper began to slither towards Tristen's Magmar. Before the Shadow Castform could do much else an unseen force would cause it to slam back down into the ground, the Castform clearly struggling against something pushing it down, the source quickly noted as Poe stood by Sub's side, snickering. Poe the Sableye used Quash.
"Monique, snag it now!" He instructed the girl to snag the Shadow Castform, then turned his attention to Tristen as the Seviper slowly made its way for his Magmar, the snake gradually picking up speed as its Shadow energy swelled. "Knock that thing back and snag it!" He called out to the young Manetric hybrid, the Shadow Seviper now about to go into a Shadow Blitz.
As for Shadow Zangoose it clearly had the most fight left in it and needed a bit more of a beating before being snagged. "Watch out!" He shouted to the group of four consisting of William, Lykas, Kazu, and Brian. The Shadow Zangoose went back on the offense and unleashed its already built up Shadow energy from its encounter with Firebrand, the vile energy taking on the form of a Shadow Rave as a wide reaching surge of shadow spikes came out of the ground, surging towards those four and their Pokemon. "Hit with what you got, restrain it, and someone snag it! No more of this!" Sub instructed them. That Shadow Rave was going to hurt though, all the same. |
