Wren and Odd listened to Sub and he explained how the teams would be divided and, for a moment, the two shared a look before Odd spoke. "You can handle it. I know you're an anxious person but I promise you've got this." The Ghost channeler told Wren with a smirk. "Besides, I'm a more skilled channeler than you and you're a better trainer overall than me. I'll be more useful out there, where I can keep my Pokemon out of direct harm a bit better." He assured the Grass specialist.

Wren took a deep breath and sighed before offering a weak, obviously unconvinced smile. "I can see why Lykas likes you so much. You're very good with words, you know?" He admitted. "I'll give it my all and we'll see what comes of it, I suppose." He admitted, running his fingers over the Nest Balls on his belt, lingering on Thistle's for a moment as the newest addition in this tournament.

"Besides, this gives me a chance to get to known Syn a bit." Odd replied with a smirk.

"Syn?" Wren was confused by the name drop.

"Synesthesia. The Sinistea I caught in our room? I finally thought of a name for it." Odd replied.

"Ah. Well, then enjoy the experience, I suppose?" Wren laughed. He'd actually forgotten about Odd's capture on their first day out of the wild area.

As I was listening to the tournament organizer and the pathetic excuse of a region champion by his side I was starting to really regret letting Keiko stay with Ulla. I'd need the help given what I thought I was facing. Sub set my concerns at ease when he called off who was going where. I didn't hear Reno's name at all. Did he get knocked out of the tournament?

I sighed, forcing myself to calm down. If I didn't have to worry about Reno, I could focus on enjoying the tournament and testing my skills. It didn't have to be a rush to the top anymore. I also didn't have to worry about breaking any hearts since Ulla wasn't in the tournament and I didn't need to fear getting paired up against her.

As the fear left my heart and I started actually looking forward to what lie ahead, I heard my Cross-transceiver ringing in my bag and that fear just hopped back onto my heart for another ride.

"Right, " I muttered to myself as I pulled the device out of my duffel bag. This was something I needed to set straight anyway.

"Welp, you got the the final stretch. I hope you're proud of yourself." Of course it was my father.

"Yeah, I owe you an apology," I sighed. 'I got seriously worked up and let all of this get to my head. Things happened that I certainly could have approached better."

There was silence on the other end for a bit. Apparently, he was expecting me to have the same attitude as the last time we called. "Glad to see you've come to your senses. What's the occasion?"

He was asking what brought me to change my attitude, and I didn't have an answer for him right away. He didn't know about Ulla and now was absolutely not the time to let that Meowth out of the bag. "Keiko," I said finally.

"Oh, her," he said, almost with a scoff. "How is she doing? I had a feeling she'd just run back to her family and cry for a whle."

"That was years ago, Dad," I sighed. "And yes, that thing you did without ASKING ANYBODY FIRST did make things awkward for a while, but with the help of a colleague who acts like sticking his nose in other people's business is his favorite pastime, Keiko asked me out, and we've been together for a few years, now."

My father was once again silent for a bit, as if something I said gave him pause for thought. I should be so lucky. "When's the wedding?" he asked.

"Shortly after the tournament," I replied. "Though we've got some business to take care beforehand."

"That's... fairly soon. When did you propose to her?" he asked, sounding relatively concerned.

"About a month ago," I said simply. "Looks like things are starting here. I should go."

"Alright," my father sighed. "Just don't go stealing people's Pokemon."

"I don't," I said flatly, hanging up on him.

I sighed, glad that I got that taken care of. With that, I put my Cross-transceiver away and stood up, walking to the tournament stadium. At least now I could focus on battles. From what I could tell, Sub had those of us left split evenly between the two teams, so maybe I could luck out and get a drone soon. The team I had on me now, I'd gathered for fighting in the Wild Area and channeling with. Considering all four of them were Psychic-types, the team wasn't exactly set up for competitive battling. if my first opponent has something that can counter Psychic-types, I may lose my first match.

Sundaria looked up from the Litten on her lap, thinking for a moment once Cera addressed her. "Ah... Yeah, sure, I'd appreciate that. A rusty trainer and an inexperienced Pokemon would probably make for easy pickings." She tore apart her malasada and offered a piece to the now stretching fire type, who happily took it once he saw the piece, with a small chuckle from the hybrid while doing so. "Haha, rusty. Didn't even intend for that," she chuckled to herself, amused by her own unintentional pun.

Leon listened to how this part of the tournament was gonna go. Then he listened to everyone else's input. That's when he heard Sub how he wanted the teams to be split. He sighed of relief that he was going to be in the classic battle part of this. "Thank goodness, I don't need to run this time." He said as he stood up and did a few stretches. In his mind, he was already calculating how he wanted to fight. But then he remembered, it's a double battle. Leon hasn't battled with anyone in a tag team other than Ulla. So, they synergy with anyone was going to be different.

He then noticed Ter started making his way towards the stadium. The Poison Channeler guessed Ter would probably be the best out of all of Snagem that he would be best with teaming. Leon decided to follow Ter to the stadium. "Mind if I join?" He asked as he threw his arms behind his back. Leon's Team consisted of his Alolan Vulpix, his Eevee he just caught, Koffing, and one more seeing how he got the popularity vote in the highlight reel.

I was having a minor freak-out over how badly this could go for me, and I almost didn't hear Leon when he walked up to me. "Huh? I asked, before I realized what he asked me. "Oh, sure. I'm... probably going to need the help anyway," I said, not remembering in that moment that it was doubles format to begin with.

I remembered shortly after and facepalmed at myself.

"Alright everyone! It's time for the even to begin!" The crowd started cheering as they awaited for todays event to begin. "All the trainers that would be participating in the team battles please come to the arena!" "And all the other trainers, there are several Roto-Drones that will be coming to your locker rooms shortly to take you to the Isles. Be sure to give it your all out there to help your team here!" Leon said. The lights then started to turn off, and the only lights were on. Were the monitors illuminating the crowd, and spotlights pointing towards the entrances to the stadium. Music started playing as Team Galars trainers came out first, then Kanto, Hoen, and so on. A group that stood out to everyone; was Team Alola. Lillie and Elio were the only ones that came out representing their region. The crowd went quiet for them as Lillie had her head down. Elio noticed this and patted her shoulder, Lillie smiled as she held her head up high. The crowd started to cheer them on again as they saw both of them with their head held high.

As more and more competitors were coming out to the stage, Roto-drones started to come into the regions locker room. They hovered close to the back of the rooms ready to bring anyone that walked up to them.

(The people that are part of the the Team Battles, stay here. I'll be making another forum for the others that are part of the Isles of Armor.)

With the field team gone the paired up Snagems would have to wait in their locker room for a little while longer, Butterfree fluttering in their stomachs no doubt. Eventually a tournament personnel would arrive and escort the individual pairs to the field when it was their turn to battle.

(To expedite this process I will be making separate threads for each battle while this thread will act as the central 'hub'. If you finish your battle sooner than expected then just have your character turn here, to the locker room. Find your battle thread on the main page and post there.)

Tristen couldn't look Aden in the eye at first but then just sighed. He looked back towards Aden. "Blizz...uh...he...got attacked by someone not part of the tournament...beat him up really bad; tried to kill him." Tristen said kind of low, trying to leave it between the two of them. While it was perhaps common knowledge between the immediate team members in this locker room by now, Tristen was at the very least trying not to make it a full blown discussion between everyone about it right here when the tournament was about to be on its way. "The attacker seems to have known everything about Blizz. Went to the headquarters while we were out here, took that ice sword that Blizz had in his room and got it reforged. Used it against him. Blizz hadn't been up since Freth saved him from the Wild Area."

The the doors opening and the Roto-Drones appearing to take roughly half the members off to the Isle of Armor, Tristen took a deep breath. At this point, Tristen was ready to write off this 'vacation' and just ride the rest of this through. "I guess we better head out there." Tristen said to Aden, starting his way off for the door and for the arena.

Freth took a look back towards Tristen, hoping that at least some of her words got through to the Manetric hybrid. She would take a trip by means of the roto-drone and make her way off for the isle.

Aden's eyes would go wide, as if the news was a little gobsmacking to him too. It wasn't entirely a lie; something didn't feel quite right about it, didn't line up somewhere. But it was easy to tell here wasn't really the place to talk more about it if he wasn't inclined to speak above a low tone. Nor would the pitch they were about to go to.

"I... look, let's focus on what we're here for right now. But if you or Freth would be fine explaining more in a quieter setting tonight, we can talk more then? There's obviously more to it from what you're saying and this probably isn't a locker room discussion," He remarked, trying to shift the topic away for now and hopefully Tristen's mind from it too. He'd follow him to the pitch in short order afterward, otherwise about as ready as he'd get.

Ryan is all but dancing as he enters the locker room after that amazing and thrilling battle. He goes over to his seat and plops down into it. Which turned out to be a bad idea because, after a deep breath, all of the adrenaline from the said match would ebb away, leaving him feeling very worn out.

"Won your battle, I take it." Someone called out to Ryan as he entered the locker room. From across the way he would spot a woman in her early thirties sitting on a bench, cleaning her Pokeballs as they sat on the bench next to her. Ryan may or may not recognize her, she was sort of famous but not nearly as much as her two neighbors from back in Pallet Town. "We did too." She said, implying her partner who wasn't around it looked like.

Ryan opens his eyes and looks across the way at the voice that spoke to him. He blinks for a moment, still trying to place her. "Yeah, that Sinnoh duo was quite the challenge. My partner helped me out so much in that fight. So who were you two up against?" Ryan says, then asks of the women who appeared to be about his age.

"Hoenn. I would be humble and say they were a challenge but they weren't. You'll probably see it on reruns later anyways but my Pokémon and I could have handled them ourselves. Nothing against my partner, but I have a feeling they felt overshadowed anyways. Case in point you don't see them here, do you?" The woman explained. Was she really as strong as she implied? The best of the best were here and even they didn't give her a run for her money? "Maybe the next round will be more interesting."

Ryan now had more questions than answers, but he might just seek out one and see if it got him anything. "considering the whims of our host. By the by, I'm Ryan Caughtem from Seafolk Village in Alola. And you are?" he says before introducing himself and seeing if he can at least get her name.

"Green, of Pallet Town." The woman simply stated, giving no region, figuring if anyone wasn't aware of Pallet Town they had been living under a rock for the past twenty years. Sure, you could forgive the majority of the world, perhaps even Kanto its self, for not knowing of the sleepy hamlet of Pallet prior to the meteoric rise in fame of her neighbors but now? You would have to either be lying or living as a nomad. Now would he know of her? She had her doubts.

"Pleased to meet you, Ryan. Congratulations on making it this far. No small feat." Green complimented the Alolan.
