sad I'm thankful I don't have to worry about doing an UI claim filing anymore now that I've got extra hours at the assisted living.
That's awesome. My brother is actually doing a similar job (I think) currently. He works graveyard at an old folks' home as the front desk receptionist, but also does occasional rounds to check on people, monitors LifeAlert calls, and other odd tasks that need doing.
If he's doing it as a graveyard shift, I can see him taking on a few caregiver-like tasks like that.
Since I only do day shift (8 AM - 5 PM), I'm primarily doing typical receptionist tasks - answering phones, setting up appointments/transportation, getting paperwork signed, etc. My additional hours is being an office assistant, so I'll be helping the Director and the Administrative Assistant with filing and other paper organizing tasks.
