Arysa [HR] - 19 - she/her/hers - Rider of Green Lilikith

The sun glittered off the waters of the lake, casting the Weyr in a warm brilliance. Arysa yawned and stretched, giving her beautiful green an appreciative final pat with the oil rag. There. All done, my love. Happy? She breathed through their bond, as she contemplated the pros and cons of swimming in her undergarments.

Lilikith was still drowsing. In that moment, Ary realised that there was something almost… impenetrable about that mind. She was lazy, yes… but something lingered, lending weight to the heaviness of her presence… it was a primal energy, swirling deep inside, waiting and patient. “Lilikith? What’s wrong dear?”

An urge so deep and so desperate…

“Lili?”

It was practically suffocating. Arysa gasped as Lilikith’s eyes snapped open, whirling with warsome purples and reds. They, Arysa-Lilikith, were not to be contained or controlled! Her chest felt as though it was filled with fire.

With a challenging roar to the rest of the Weyr, Lilikith launched into the air without a second thought. Let us see how hot our love can burn! The red faded from the dragon’s eyes, lust winning over the initial flare of anger and irritation. Follow if you dare! Not that she would hurt them… but they had better not stop her! She was going to be free!

The blue sky teased her far above, and Lilikith pumped her wings in an effort to embrace the cotton white clouds. She roared again as she broke the first layer of wispy water vapour, then crowed in delight. The atmosphere was growing thin, and it was exhilarating. Her breath came in ragged cold puffs, testing her limits. Such freedom… Her hearts soared, and her anger melted away. Awash with love, she sent waves of affection towards those who chased.

She was not an acrobatic creature, built more for endurance than the speedy tricks usually attributed to her smaller kin, but she attempted a dizzying loop before spiralling downwards, tight curls bringing her closer to rockface and forest. It was fun to let loose- fun to push herself beyond her ‘normal’. Let’s finish this dance, my loves! Family must never be left behind or forgotten! She cast an eye backwards, gauging her pursuit with growing interest.

-----

About Lilikith: Family-oriented and nurturing, Lilikith is relaxed until the wrong buttons are pushed. She has a nasty temper and a bloodthirstiness that can surprise even the most authoritative dragons. Lilikith loves nature and philosophy, and is fond of dragons who show a respect for those topics.

Positives: Relaxed, Nurturing, Protective
Negatives: Volatile, Independent, Lazy
Rolls: 11, 1, 15 = 27

About Arysa: Earnest and eager to please, Arysa truly means well in all that she does, and has a deep desire to help others. She’s very hard on herself, and will push herself to the point of exhaustion to feel useful. She has a tendency to worry in situations she cannot control, but has the disciplined training to keep a cool head in a crisis. Ary is a traditionalist when it comes to love and romance, but she is available for interaction during this Flight.

Positives: Meticulous, Trustworthy, Sensitive
Negatives: Self-critical, Chronic People-Pleaser, Worrier

-----

How to Play:

  • This game will be stat-less.
  • NPCs are welcome.
  • HR dragons only!
  • This Flight requires one IC post: each participant will roll 3d20 (3 20-sided dice) as part of their post.
  • Rolling close to Lilikith’s score for each dice during the Flight post indicates the participating dragon is doing well (for example, if Lili rolls 10 and you roll 11, that’s good). However, the greater the difference, the greater the difficulty the participating dragon is facing (for example, if Lili rolls 5 and you roll 15, that’s not so good). Please reflect this in your Flight post (using your best judgement).
  • Entrants will be accepted until Friday 5th June 8pm EST. After that, the winner will be rolled.
  • The winner will be selected at random from the top 3 dragons who are closest to Lilikith’s total score, plus 1 dragon who will be selected for personality compatibility. Matching Lilikith’s total score exactly counts as an automatic win!

His eyes were purple before she'd even risen into the sky, before the roar that ran down his spine even erupted from her jaws in an issue of challenge. Hoath dared, he loved the fire in some greens, especially those that could send a small chill down his spine. Fiery indeed, the long but fragile looking brown flared his wings and dove off his ledge, the firestorm that those well oiled wings appeared beat the air as he chased after her, falling behind right from the gate even if he'd answered the call for a challenge.

Still, he wasn't angry or upset despite his foul start and gave a returning roar as he followed her into the sky, twisting around clouds and disappearing through them as if it were all some sort of speedy dance. Your wings themselves are freedom, you skill is invigorating. he all but roared back as he followed after her. Drawn along by the desire to catch her in his strong claws, however his purple eyes flashed a myriad of concerned colors at her downward loop towards earth once more.

Still, greens seemed to know best and once again she outstripped the brown as he was left trailing behind her and her other suitors. But still Hoath watched and pressed ever forward with his wings.

-----

About Hoath: A vain beast of a dragon if ever there was one, his hearts are far more protective than he lets on and generally he is concerned about those about him. He'll never show this until he's rushing to save a wingmate from thread though.

NPC Araneath of So'li

Surging after beautiful Lilikith, the enormous green found her size greatly to her disadvantage. Although she was certainly no bronze or brown, her bulk did not aid in swift turns. Nevertheless, Araneath followed with every intention of catching the other green. Beauty and ferocity in one? Let me catch you, lovely. These males cannot possibly know as well as I what might please a green. Seeing some among the pack close on Lilikith, Araneath roared, laying forth her challenge for the others to hear.

The sight of a newly-oiled green rising in flight drew Makhmilith's mind away from his swim. With a hasty word of warning to T'of, he dumped his rider into the water and took flight, droplets of water shimmering in the light as he surged to the sky, giving chase to Lilikith.

You are a sight to behold, he called from a greater distance than he would have liked.

The blue's watery launch had slowed him, and then, in an effort to catch up and keep pace with the stronger bronze and browns plus the quicker green also giving chase, he had overshot her, forcing him to flip abruptly in the air, fanning his wings until he had nearly matched her rhythm.

He was dimly aware that on the earthbound side of things, his human, T'of, had swum to the shallows, rather than risk drowning if he became too caught up in the flight. He would not come ashore, Makh knew, until things were over. He was a strong swimmer and could hardly bear to be touched, so it was easiest for him to wait out the flight where human contact wouldn't be a possibility.

That was all the thought Makh spared his rider, though, as he observed the lovely lines of Lilikith's form in flight and put all of his effort into the pursuit.

About Makhmilith: Makh is intelligent, protective, and determined, but he's also headstrong, arrogant, and deeply cynical. He has absolutely zero trust in authority figures and prefers to think of himself as a loner, despite having a number of friends. He can be brooding and serious, even pessimistic, but deep down he wants to be a hero. That said, he is absolutely not on the lookout for love, or anything resembling it.

Yes... dancing! All right.

Though his voice was hesitantly exuberant, he answered her call with swiftness, and as Nirieth matched her initial climb, he took a moment to admire Lilikith's form against the clouds. She was a beautiful green, and quite knowledgeable about things he was not, from what he had gathered. Lovely.

So lovely that he missed the moment when she turned and dove back toward the ground.

Nirieth let out a surprised hwonk as he moved to follow, and though he remained close, his start had definitely been the most impressive part of his chase.

NPC V'arn and Brown Nirieth

Nirieth is a giant nerd. Here 'giant' refers to the enormity of his geekery, not his wingspan. This young, petite brown is known to corner visitors to High Reaches—human and dragon alike—and question them on their thoughts and experiences of the world until he is physically dragged off by his rider. He is the determined sort, and when there is a topic he is introduced to that interests him, Nirieth will explore it until there is nothing left to learn.

    + freethinking, educated, energetic
    - careless, strong-willed, irritating

NPC Th'ler & blue Tarmicath
User Image

The sight of the beautiful green had Tarmicath throwing himself from the fireheights to pursue. The blue dragon would follow, trumpeting back, and sending her nothing but desire and admiration. She might not be as agile as some of the greens, but she was no less a beauty--and Tarmicath did fancy himself a good judge of quality.

How the blue did rather love a good flight, and Lilikith was nothing short of a siren. Love might be a beautiful thing, but lust ruled--and underneath such power, Tarmicath was helpless.

Unfortunately, Tarmicath had been at a bit of a disadvantage. He had rather gorged himself that morning, and though a few hours had passed--he was weighted down by his earlier gluttony. Still, it gave him a very nice view of the green.

His own rider, who had been on his way to the Lower Caverns to steal a bite to eat, now suddenly found himself desiring something very different. Excusing himself, he stumbled out of the Lower Caverns, half-blind from Tarmicath's lust.

Th'ler
25.

Th'ler drank the kool-aid of High Reaches, but doesn't seem to mind. He can still be "just" a blue rider and have his pride. What does he care what others think when Tarmicath chose him above any other? He doesn't need a title to be a hero, and is happy to support those in charge. Staunchly devoted to High Reaches Weyr, this dark-haired man, originally from Tillek, is ready to serve and protect.

Tarmicath
Approximately 10 Turns.
A large blue, Tarmicath is more playful and charming than His--but just as serious when it comes to duty. He's relatively friendly and is the sort of blue to live-in-the-moment. He's certainly a lover of beautiful things--and does fancy himself a beautiful being, as well.

NPC Blue Cryomath of M'harz
User Image

Oh, he had great timing. He'd woken up, had a good stretch, relaxed for a minute or two, and found that his ledge was right in the path of an incoming Greenflight. Cryomath couldn't believe his luck--he was in the air mere moments after seeing her pass by, launching himself off of the ledge with a triumphant bugle.
Lilikith! Hello, darling~ His mindvoice was cheery and brisk, carrying with it an electric trill of enthusiasm that was wholly genuine. I'm so glad I noticed you in time! To miss you would have truly been a shame.

He was careful in his maneuvers, following after Lilikith with a single-minded excitement that barely let him register the rest of her chasers. They were certainly there, of course, and he'd have to keep an eye out eventually, but right now, he was so close to her! Why would he ever look anywhere else?

----

About Cryomath: A diehard romantic and over-the-top sweetheart with a flair for the dramatic, Cryomath always puts 110% into everything he does. He falls in love easily with others, finding beauty in their individual traits and personalities--although it's not romantic every time, the feeling is always genuine.

NPC Litanuth of H'aal
Profile

User Image

Litanuth was pulled from his lazing at the sight of another green launching herself into the sky, the blue rising to his feet on his ledge with his wings half spread. He rumbled, drawing H'aal's attention - as though it wasn't already piqued by the twining desire across their bond. "Have you spotted something nice?" of course he had, H'aal didn't even need to ask - and the blue snubbed the question as the man rose to head out to find his own partner for the time being. He'd never say no to a good time.

Litanuth dropped from his ledge like a serpent into water, gliding outwards into the bowl as he joined the others who would leap into this fray. He'd not offer sweet words - not without testing the waters and seeing what she truly wanted. What he desired was already clear, after all, and that radiating want would be palpable.

Do you wish to burn hot like a star? it was almost a felt question, rather than an asked one, she was shining like one and they all chased her like doing so would grant any wish they had.

----

H'aal
51. Used to be a sailor (of dubious rep) but came to HR following his Searched Sons and the sense of duty his dragon had after First Fall.
Positive: Sociable, Sharp-witted, Flexible
Negative:Hedonistic, Spiteful, Restless

Litanuth:
Flexible, but inconstant for it. He covets and is prone to envy and disappointment when things don't end the way he thinks they should. Plays his cards close and is slow to reveal himself.

Arysa [HR] - 19 - she/her/hers - Rider of Green Lilikith

The choice was difficult. Lilikith crooned to her suitors, a loving note twined with encouragement… They just had to hold on a little longer now- for her wings were growing red hot with the exertion. She had such marvellous dance partners, her hearts soaring with delight.

To Hoath, she sent an intoxicating wave of appreciation. He was a beautiful creature, there was no denying it. You are so charming, Hoath. And that you could match my skill- I'm impressed. Such shiny, silvery words- she almost leaned into him then and there. And yet, the others were just as worthy of her consideration.

Araneath was a glorious green, and Lilikith swelled with pleasure and delight at her words. For this particular green she reserved fierce joy and love, for Lilikith knew that the two of them would be a sight for all the Weyr to sigh over. Oh Araneath, how right you might be… How enticing your offer is to my hearts. She swung in low, wingtips almost teasingly close.

That Makhmilith had started in the water awarded him points in Lilikith's mind. She did so love waterside company, and he was a handsome creature to behold. Vanity was not a usual note of her disposition, but lust propelled her to consider the beauty of her options. Suddenly, in a brief moment, the winds seemed to change: he was ahead of her, fanning his wings in a splendid show of his might. Would you steal my hearts as well as my breath, Makhmilith? She crooned, though surprise threaded through her mindvoice. She ducked beneath him, her desire to make her own choice winning over the enticing embrace of his wings.

Tarmicath was a respectable sort, and Lilikith sent a wave of admiration his way as she watched him fly. He gave her space and appreciated her from afar, and for that the young green was grateful. How sweet you are to let me stretch my wings, but kind enough to keep me company throughout. She considered her words with care, pondering the strength of his wings to catch her, before the next beautiful suitor caught her eye…

Laughter echoed across the connection shared between Cryomath and Lilikith. Where he was electric, enthusiastic and gentlemanly, she was fire and freedom and lust. His attentions buoyed her, and though her answer did not come immediately, she opened up to him as he chased. You fly so splendidly and with such attentiveness. Why, I would think myself a queen with such devotion as yours. And yet, the spirit of playfulness that led them both spurred her to dance between his wings and the next, always moving, never choosing.

Another suitor was made of waves and clouds, and Lilikith trilled happily as he joined the flight. What a handsome sight. They were like stars, bright and fiery, casting a glow over the whole Weyr. The mental picture made her croon, adding a twirl to her dance. Yes… She felt back, enjoying the sensation of desire and fierce lust that was shares between them. How wonderful to reach so many of her big Weyr-family, and to share such love.

But even as impressive Litanuth's own dance had been, there was one who had gotten her measure and caught her eye. He was truly a lovely specimen of a brown, the gentle muddy shadows of his hide somewhat reminiscent of clouds painted on a bark canvas. She knew he was the type to possess an inquisitive mind, too, and her interest was piqued. He followed her upwards and she roared in appreciation at the challenge, glad to see he had not been perturbed by the climb. Draconic laughter ensued when her dive was met with a surprised hwonk, although she marvelled at his adaptability and quick reactions. Good.

She let her wings rest for a moment, gliding on the last thermal of freedom, before returning Nirieth's welcoming embrace. Wings furled with his, tail twining about, she crooned as she bespoke him, you danced well my dear, now let us return.

Back on the ground, Arysa swayed with her dragon, trapped in the thrall of lust and desire. The need for relief pressed against her senses. One way or another, it would come- she was sure of it.

Smerdle
Congratulations! ^^]
